Chapter 051
At exactly 7 PM Cheska left the master's office. Nandoon siya buong araw. Doon na rin siya nag agahan, tanghalian at meryenda. Mabuti na lang at makakasama niya ang buong Lees mamayang hapunan. She still hasn't seen them.
Nagbuga siya ng malalim na hangin dahil sa nasaksihan sa phone. There's no a single message from Sebastian. Ano na ba ang oras ngayon sa Pilipinas? He should be at the Lee University by now.
Dahil hindi sila basta bastang pwedeng mawala sa university ay nanatili siya pati sila Cj at Sophia roon. Malapit naman na ang Christmas Break dahil gumagawa na ng paraan si Cj para mapaaga kaya malamang anumang linggo ay makikita na niya ulit ang mga ito.
There's a lot of things bothering her. Ang dami niyang iniisip at pinoproblema at isa roon si Sebastian. Ever since that night at the bar with Lorenzo, Sebastian seems distant from her.
May mali naman siya. She shouldn't be in that place with Lorenzo pero hindi naman niya sinasadya and she doubts Sebastian doesn't know that. Tinanong niya ito kung iyon ba ang rason but he keeps on insisting that nothing is wrong.
Napasuklay na lang siya ng buhok at pumasok sa kaniyang kwarto—buong lakad niya ata ay nakatutok lang siya sa phone. She sent few messages to him ngunit ni isa ay wala siyang natanggap na reply.
"Why is he being so cold..." she said sadly and sat on the floor beside her bed. She decided to just call him instead.
She waited...patiently and patiently for it to be answered.
Sebastian never puts his phone on silent. He's afraid he might miss a call habang may emergency. At dahil hindi niya iyon sinisilent, there's no way he wouldn't hear her calls.
"Please..." she muttered while trying to be patient. "Please answer it..."
Muling ibinalik ni Sebastian ang kaniyang phone sa bulsa nang maramdaman ang pagdating ni Cj. Kasalukuyan siyang nasa hallway habang inaantay ang pagdating ng president.
Gusto niyang tumambay sa loob ng opisina habang inaantay ang unang klase. Masyadong napaaga ang kaniyang dating. Hindi rin naman kasi siya nakatulog ng maayos so he has no choice to leave his house early.
"You're not going to answer it?" Cj asked while opening the Student Council Office.
"It's..." napaiwas siya ng tingin. "nothing special..."
Hindi na umimik doon si Cj at saka pumasok na. He instantly went to his desk habang si Sebastian naman ay umupo sa couch at pumikit. He sighed very deeply.
Cj glanced to him, nakikiramdam. What's with that deep sigh?
Habang nilalagay ang coat sa coat rack ay biglang nag ring ang kaniyang phone. He answered it right after he saw his sister's name.
"How's dad's teaching today?"
[Kuya, is Sebastian with you? Nagaalala kasi ako. He's not answering any of my calls or messages. May problema ba? Did something bad happen to him and you're not just telling it to me? Did he lose his phone? Is he busy? Ano ba nangyayari sa university ngayon? Is there an upcoming event?]
Unti unting lumalim ang gusot sa noo ni Cj dahil sa mga tanungan ng kaniyang kapatid. His eyes darted to the guy in front of him, nakapikit pa rin ito habang takip takip ang mga mata ng kaniyang braso.
"Yes, he is quite busy. May pinapagawa ako sa kaniya. I'll let him know about your call."
[Please update me right away. Nagaalala lang kasi ako. This is his first time doing this so I don't know exactly what I should think and do...]
