Chapter 041

"What you're about to see is the origin of the worlds."

A very long time ago, before time was created, immortals are the only beings living in the world. They are powerful and invincible. They are free and wild, chaotic and different.

However, their existence got shaken when the god of death and the god of sleep were born. Their existence brought a curse to immortals.

The invincible immortals got bested. The fearless immortals got shaken. The free immortals got restrained. And the free and wild immortals got silenced.

The immortals who cannot be killed nor harmed can now feel pain due to the curse—they will be put in a deep sleep and during the process of the curse, their souls will be separated from their body leaving them powerless and weak souls.

Because of the fear of being tormented many have tried to kill the twin gods but as the new invincible and powerful immortals, all of them have failed. By that moment, they realized the god of death cannot be killed for he is the death himself and the god of sleep cannot be killed for he is also the source of the inevitable curse.

Due to the king of god's guilt, believing he created monsters, he created mortals. He created them in the image of the immortals suffering from his sons' curses. The powerless and weak souls can inhabit their mortal version for the meantime until the curse is lifted. With this, the immortals won't be tormented painfully.

The curse remained for decades to centuries. The immortal world became a living hell for immortals. Little did they know, another storm is yet about to come.

Another children of the king were born—another twin but this time they are goddesses.

Their birth has stopped the curse and sealed it inside their brothers' bodies—teaching them how to control the power of their existence without making the others suffer.

Because of this, several immortals bowed and praised the twin goddesses. When the king witnessed how powerful his second children are, he decided to protect them and forbid them from leaving the palace and expose their faces. Even their brothers vowed to protect them at all cost.

After the curse lifted, their immortals went back to their usual habit—creating chaos and using their powers up to its extent. They started chaos not just in their world but also to the other side that the king created for them.

They spread mischief and harmed the mortals for they believe they don't believe them anymore. The children of the king asked him to annihilate the mortals if they are just going to suffer from the immortals.

But the king did not listen and told them, "We once felt the pain of torture. So should they."

That's when his children realized that their father isn't great as he is supposed to be. He cannot be the king if he cannot lead his own people rightfully.

And leads them to plot his death.

The king's death spread all over the world and instantly assumed that it was the first twin who killed him for they are the only ones in their world with the power to do such a thing. Since the throne cannot be empty for a long time, the gods demanded a new leader.

Instead of choosing the eldest sons, they chose the second twins—the goddesses who freed them from the fearful curse. However, there is only one person who can sit on the throne. How can they choose between the two of them? They are both powerful, fearless, and invincible.
