"You have to kill your best friend to achieve what you want, Kenneth. She is the next head of the Lee Family—the family you and Lorenzo want to annihilate."

Kenneth took a step backward. "N—no...that is not...that is not—"

"Alam kong nararamdaman mo na siya si Cheska. She has the resemblance. Do you think those are all just pure coincidence? Do you think this and Cheska and Lorenzo's meeting are just pure coincidences? We planned this. We plan to confront the two of you."

Wala siyang masabi. Hindi niya alam kung maniniwala ba siya. He doesn't know the Lees well—how they move they think and they act. They never show themselves to the public even before kaya ni isang tao ay walang nakakakilala sa kanila kundi sila sila lang din.

But he knows Sebastian—somehow. He won't go this far just for a jest—especially it's Cheska they're talking about. Aside from that, bakas sa kaniyang mukha ang labis na kaseryosohan. There is no amusement no mischief at all.

"Why..." he muttered. He looked at him with pure confusion. Gulong gulo siya. "Why are you doing this? Why are you telling all of this to me?!"

"I won't filter my words—I want you on our side, you and Lorenzo or perhaps his entire organization—"

"You are crazy! That will never happen!"

"We are desperately crazy, Kenneth," Sebastian corrected. "We don't want to wage a war with you. You are a family—"

"Family?!" he yelled in surprise. "Your mistress killed Lorenzo's mother! Is that how you treat someone as a family? Pinapatay niyo?! You darned devils!"

"Now that you know that Cheska is one of us you should know by now who's the mistress you're talking about."

Mas lalong dumiin ang pagkakakuyom ng kaniyang kamao. Napatingin siya sa ibang gawi, pinipigilan ang sarili.

"That woman...that woman is the mistress...?"

"Do you really think that person can kill Lorenzo's mother? That is her friend—"

"The hell would I know about that?!" he glared at him. "The hell would I know if she has the capability to do such betrayal?! Lees are professionals at mystifying others! They play with their own people at the palm of their hands! Like we are some kind of pawns on a chessboard!"

"Is that really how you see us—"

"Yes!"

"After all those years of being with them?!" Sebastian roared. He feels insulted. "Even Lorenzo doubts that we are the Lees he's looking for! Hindi siya naniniwala na kami iyon dahil sa taon na nakasama niya—"

"And that is because you manipulated him! You made him believe you are innocents!"

"ARNIE KILLED TITA MARGAUX!"

Kenneth flinched.

"That woman is the one manipulating you! Siya ang nagpapaikot sa inyo!" he went on. "This is her plan! She planned to confuse Lorenzo para magamit niya ito sa laban sa amin because he is a Young! Ni minsan ba hindi mo naisip na ginagamit lang nila si Lorenzo?"

Hindi siya makasagot.

"She has Cheska now! And she still doesn't know that the murderer of Lorenzo's mother has always been with her all these years!" he took a couple of deep breathes to calm himself. "Arnie...Arnie is planning to use Cheska, your best friend against us...she knows...she knows who the Lees are—our identity and everything but our location...hindi niya lang sinasabi dahil alam niyang kapag natagpuan kami ni Lorenzo, he will know that it was her all along who killed his family."
