"Hey, I have a proposal for you."

Nakatambay lang ngayon si Brittany sa may balcony ng kaniyang kwarto habang kinakausap ang isang tao sa loob ng kaniyang madilim na kwarto. Not a single light is open.

"You are looking for mortals who are willing to sell their bodies to the devils, right?"

"Yes...have you already found some?"

"No, but I have a mortal on my mind. However, he doesn't have any profound negative emotions."

"That mortal won't do anything...and no mortals are willing to sell their bodies if they don't have any profound negative emotions..."

"Then how about a mortal under a vegetative state?" hinarap niya ang dilim. "He's not conscious so he has no control of his body. It's a perfect opportunity to gain control of it."

The darkness fell silent for a while. "Who is this mortal...?"

"It's Sebastian," Selroz answered firmly. Muli niyang inalala kung ano ang ginawa niya sa lalaking iyon. He cast a spell on him during the time his palms are on his chest. "I put a mild curse on his body—he won't be able to gain his consciousness for few weeks."

"That's...a very weak curse..."

"If I cast my strongest curse on him, his body won't be able to take it. He will die," he pointed out. "You know I cannot kill him? He's not part of the contract. Even if he's an obstacle I still cannot kill him."

"It seems like you hate that guy more than the woman you're supposed to kill...I thought you are into men?"

"Yea, but he's not my type. I don't really hate him—I just think I have to do something to him since he's being naughty. If I don't do something to him, my life will be in danger. He can ruin the contract if I don't shut his mouth."

The only reason why Selroz is not being punished right now despite harming a mortal is because of Sebastian's threat. If he hadn't dropped that threat, Selroz would have no reason to harm him.

It is his right to protect the contract—a thing that can put his life in danger without care—from the possible people who can ruin it.

Harming him is the limit to his capabilities against him. That is the only thing he can do. If he went past that limitation, that is when the punishment will be served.

"Then why do you want to offer him to me...?"

"I have no choice. If he wakes up before I could kill that woman then the completion of this contract will take longer," he said. "You will gain something from this too. You will have your new mortal and you will have me quickly."

"I know...but for clarification, the mortal is not for me..."

Her brows furrowed. "Not for you?"

"That's not the kind of mortal I want. I see nothing special to him..."

"Tch. You still haven't seen him."

"I will do you that favor...just tell me where he is sleeping and leave the rest to me...I'll let you know if you can finally let go of that anxiety of yours."

Sinimangutan niya lang ito. Halata namang iniinsulto siya. Hindi naman siguro masamang magpakasigurado lalo na at buhay niya rin ang nakataya roon. If he fails to complete the contract, he will be punished.

And the punishment is the most thing he hates the most—mas ayaw niya iyon kesa sa mga anghel.

"What happened?"
