Chapter 053

After almost 10 minutes, the gas vanished into thin air. Tinanggal na ni Cheska ang kaniyang mask at kumuha ng sandamakmak na hangin. Kahit nakamask ay pakiramdam niya mamamatay pa rin siya. She barely has oxygen while wearing it.

Inikot niya ang tingin sa paligid. Everyone is unconscious. Wala na siyang nakikitang gumagalaw. All of them are sleeping.

"The plan is to make it look like I took Lorenzo as a hostage," Cheska said to Kenneth. He took off his mask as he walks to her. "You have to be with them for the meantime to prove the innocence of Young organization."

"Yea, that's what I am planning to do too."

"W...wait!"

Sabay na napalingon ang mag best friend sa pinanggalingan ng boses. Kenneth's eyes widened after seeing that Lorenzo is still conscious. There's a cloth blocking his nose and mouth.

"Oh," Cheska sounding not so surprised. "He is still awake. How beautiful."

Kenneth dashed to Lorenzo and sat beside him. Lumapit na rin si Cheska kahit labag sa kaniyang kalooban.

"Why are you still conscious? Didn't you listen to Sean? O hindi niya sinabi? Lagot talaga siya sa akin—"

"No, he stated the instructions to me properly. But I cannot lose my consciousness." Lorenzo shook his head repeatedly. "I'm sorry...I cannot go with you."

"What?!" sabay na sambit ng dalawa.

"I'm planning to destroy the leaders of the rebellion from the inside. If I come with you, I won't be able to do it anymore."

"You have a plan," Cheska stated. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"You didn't tell me you have a plan too," Lorenzo countered. "And I wasn't expecting you to get yourself involved."

"It's not my decision," she waved her hand dismissively. "The Lees asked me to save you."

"You almost ruined my plan but thankfully it ended perfectly," he let out a sigh of relief. Kabadadong kabado talaga siya kanina. Laking pasasalamat niya na hindi na masyado pang nagsalita si Cheska.

"Bakit parang kasalanan ko pa?" napaiwas siya ng tingin at simangot. "I knew I shouldn't have done this. I should have just let you be married to that girl."

"This is perfect. Things can still go according to my plan. Lee organization will be saved as well."

"Anong plano?" Kenneth asked.

But instead of looking at him, his eyes went to Cheska. He looked up. Nakahalukipkip lang ito habang taka siyang tinitignan.

"What?"

"Please take Alexandra with you."

"What?!" napaatras pa siya sa gulat dahil sa nadinig. "Pinagloloko mo ba ako? Bakit ko dadalhin yang babaeng 'yan?"

"Joseph heard about your mom. You were blaming me for what happened to her. If he regains consciousness, there is no way he won't ask me about it."

Kumunot ang noo ni Cheska at maayos siyang hinarap. "Hindi nila alam na sumugod ka?"

Lorenzo shook his head. "Only I got the exact location of your headquarters. I told no one about it even my friends."

Natahimik doon si Cheska. They were actually thinking it was kind of a strategy. Na Youngs lang muna ang pinasugod to make sure they are in the right place at para hindi sila maubusan ng maraming tauhan.
