Little Sister

"One day Dan is going to catch us Josh, and when he does he'll kill us both."

"Stop being overdramatic y/n. We've kept it hidden for two months, if it puts you at ease we'll tell him tonight after the show."

You sigh contently resting your head on your boyfriend's lap while he strokes your hair. Dan was reluctant about letting his younger sister meet the rest of his band You Me At Six, and he made sure they all knew you were off limits.

But Josh broke the rules and got close to you, and after a few weeks of casual flirting he asked you out on a date and then asked you to be his girlfriend. Josh made you happy and vice versa, you hated lying to your brother but you loved Josh like you'd never loved anyone before.

"You're going to nail the show tonight Josh."

Josh chuckles, "of course I will with my number one fan watching me from the wings."

"Josh, Dan's coming!"

Max knocks on the dressing room door jolting you and Josh up and off the sofa. Yes, the rest of the band knew you were dating Josh and helped you keep Dan in the dark.

"Act normal y/n."

You roll your eyes; Josh could get a little panicked sometimes. You flop back down on the sofa and pretend to be engrossed with your phone while Josh unlocks the door and lets Max in.

"Mr Franceschi and the soon to be Mrs Franceschi."

Josh throws a water bottle at Max who laughs and catches it before sitting down next to you and pulls your feet onto his lap. Mrs Franceschi had a nice ring to it.

DAN

~Showtime~

Matt, Max, and Chris ran onto the stage but I'd left my drumsticks backstage so stayed back to grab them. However, when I rounded the corner I saw something I didn't expect to see. Josh was making out with y/n. I was mad, all the guys knew she was off limits but here was Josh marking his territory. I wanted to go over and break them apart but then y/n pulls back.

"Josh, what if Dan hates us? I know my brother and he'll want us to split up. I love him, but I also love you."

Josh sighs, "I knew you were worth breaking all the rules for y/n. I'll make your brother see just how much I love you and that I'll never hurt you. You carved your name in my heart and nothing will keep us apart."

That was the most romantic thing I'd ever heard Josh say. It looked like he really did love my sister and vice versa. I would confront them after the show was over.

~After Show~

I watched y/n the whole show staring at Josh and smiling. As her big brother, I wanted to see her happy even if that meant letting her date, Josh. I had to be the bigger man in this situation and put my sisters' happiness first.

"Josh, can I have a word?"

The singer walks over to me nervously and I notice y/n keeping close in case anything happened.

"What can I do for you, man?"

"I saw you kiss my sister Josh."

Josh's eyes widen and his face pales at my accusation, he was bloody terrified of what I would do to him for breaking the rules. But what I do next takes him by surprise, I laugh.

"You should have seen your face, Josh."

Josh wrinkles his nose, "so you're not mad Dan?"

I shake my head.

"I was, but then I heard what you said to y/n. If you love her and make her happy, then you have my blessing to date her."

"Thank you, big brother!"

y/n squeals and throws herself at me. I catch her and pat her on the back.

"Don't make me regret this, either of you."

Josh chuckles, "I promise Dan"

I nod and y/n detaches herself from me and latches onto her boyfriend. I cover my eyes when they start kissing.

"My bunk is above Josh's so please no sex or PDA around me please."

The lovebirds laugh at me before resuming kissing. I'd eventually learn to block the two of them out.
