The next morning I decided to go to Hannah's to tell her about my date. I turned the key in the lock on Hannah's door and walked in.
"Hannah?" I yell after not seeing her in the living room. I sighed and made us a drink before Hannah walked in wearing a baggy tshirt and some shorts with her hair wet, pulled over to one side.
She took a sip of her coffee and smiled at me. "Sorry, I was in the shower, anyway come on then, spill the beans missy, we haven't got all day!" She winked.
I told her all about dinner and the film, including that Harry knew practically the whole script to Love Actually and then I finished by saying that he'll be visiting me tomorrow, I didn't miss a single detail. The more I spoke about last night the faster I began to speak. Hannah looked like she was having difficulties processing everything but I carried on anyway. When I had finished she laughed at how giddy I was and squeezed my hand.
"I'm glad you had fun sis." She smiled. "I've gotta go into town today, you wanna come?" She said taking our empty mugs to the sink.
"Can't, thanks though but I've got a ton of shit to do at home, I only came by to fill you in."
"It's cool, I'll text you later yeah? Oh and lock the door when you leave, I'm going upstairs." She hugged me tight and I left her house.
On the drive home I kept thinking about Harry. What is he doing right now? I wonder what he's wearing? That stupid bandana? I like that stupid bandana.
I put my hand over the spot he kissed last night and my stomach got butterflies again.
"Mel, pull yourself together!" I rolled my eyes at myself and parked up my car.
As I got out, I saw a familiar blonde boy walking towards me.
"Niall?" I ask.
"Melanie right?" He said pulling me into a hug, which I must say, did shock me a little.
"Yeah... well, call me Mel" I smiled.
"Well, nice to see you again, Mel." He said flashing me his pearly white teeth. "Look, I've gotta run, I'm real sorry, but I'll see you around?"
"Sure, See ya." I smile again.
I spent all day cleaning and ironing before sinking into the bath. I don't care what anyone says, filling up a hot bath with bubbles and lying in there for hours is the most relaxing feeling ever.
Once I got out, I washed my hair under the shower head and wrapped myself in a towel. I thought about drying my hair but I couldn't be bothered so I rubbed it with a towel and let my natural waves hang around my shoulders.
The sound of my doorbell nearly give me a heart attack, as I rushed downstairs. It sounded again.
"I'm coming, jesus!" I yelled.
I yanked the door open and Harry was standing there with a playful grin spread across his face when he saw me standing in my towel.
"Shit, Harry, I've just got out of the bath, er, What are you doing here?"
"Well, apart from wishing I was a fly on the wall when you were in the bath." He smirked. "I wanted to know if you wanted to come chill at my place and watch a film or something... I've got pizza?"
"Er, sure, why not? Come in, I'll need to get changed. Sit down... and stay down this time!"
"I'm not making any promises, Melanie." He winked.
Once I got upstairs I made sure the door was properly shut. I slipped on some black leggings and a loose white tank top. I pulled my wet hair up into a messy bun and tugged it around to make me look less bald. I quickly applied some powder and some red lipstick before heading back down.
Harry was still sitting where I left him watching the TV, which he had turned on himself. He turned around and smiled before switching it off and walking towards me.
"Ready pretty girl?"
"I looked better last night, You can't call me that now!" I laughed.
"You look gorgeous... you looked better in that towel but ya know." He said and winked at me.
I swatted his arm before following him out.
He helped me into his black audi for the second night in a row and his eyes narrowed again before pulling away from my house.
He didn't live very far away from me and I was surprised that I hadn't seen him around before... unless I just never noticed him.
