I unlocked the door to the coffee shop and it was still in the mess I left it in yesterday.
I quickly attempted to straighten it up before any customers came in, and stood behind the counter.
It was fairly quiet, which didn't really help me. It just gave me more thinking time. I couldn't stand thinking about Harry and Chelsea anymore, it was driving me insane but I couldnt stop thinking about it.
I was just waiting for her heels to click against the floor to deliver me another surprise. Bitch.
Around lunch time, more people started to pile in, keeping me busy which I was thankful for but soon enough, it got quieter again.
I began wiping some tables down when the little bell on the door chimed. I turned around to see Harry standing in the door way with his hands tucked into his pockets, rocking on his heels.
My stomach flipped and I made my way behind the counter, not speaking to him. He shuffled his way over and shrugged.
"Do you want coffee?" I said cooly.
"No... thanks."
"Well what do you want then?"
"Melanie please don't be like this." He frowned.
"Excuse me? You had sex with Chelsea, lied to me about it and then acted like nothing had happened. Sorry if I don't really want to be around you right now." I snapped.
He looked down at the floor and chewed the inside of his cheeks. "I know." He said quietly. "Why didn't you text me back last night?"
"I was asleep." I lied. "I didn't get it until this morning."
"Oh." He swallowed hard. "Have you cried over this?" He said sqeezing his eyes shut for a few seconds.
I didn't answer him, just looked away.
"Melanie I'm so sorry, It was a mistake please let me exp-"
"Just stop Harry." I said sharply. "I'm working. I don't want to do this now. Not here."
"Then when?"
"I don't know." I sighed.
"Text me... please?" He said, his green eyes glistening.
I nodded and he walked away.
"Harry." I called after him.
He shot round to look at me. I wanted to hug him so badly but I knew it wasn't a good idea. I took a step forward but stopped myself.
"Never mind..." I croaked.
He dropped his head and pushed open the door, running his fingers through his hair and tugging at it once he was outside.
I breathed out deeply once he had disappeared from my view, not realising I was holding it in.
I slammed the bottom of my fist on the counter and put my hand over my forehead, swallowing down the tears I could feel trying to escape my tired eyes.
The day was never ending, the customers felt extra rude and I swear there was loads more cleaning to be done when the shop closed.
Once I finally got home, Zayn cooked us dinner and I just pottered around, cleaning and wiping things to keep my mind occupied.
My phone screen flashed with Harrys name and I took a deep breath before pressing the green button.
"Harry?"
"Er, can I come round... please I-"
"Yeah." I croaked, cutting him off.
"What?"
