"Harry will you just stop for 2 seconds?"
"What?" He frowned, tugging on his boots.
"You've been rushing everywhere for the past few days, you've hardly been in. Are you still pissed at me because I went to the prison because I-"
"Melanie, I'm fine, you're fine, we're fine. Everything is fine but I've really gotta go."
He kissed my lips briefly and turned towards the door.
"Harry wai-"
"Love you baby."
The door slammed behind him and I slumped onto the sofa.
"Yeah, love you too." I said to myself.
Ever since I came back from the prison a few days ago, Harry has been out more times than he's been in. He hardly tells me where he is, he practically runs out of the door every morning and it probably shouldn't annoy me as much as it does.
I headed upstairs and got ready to go into town. I still had the voucher from my birthday to get my nails done; it expires in a week. I suppose pampering myself can only make me feel better. I hoped so anyway because Harry wasn't home to do so.
Just as I shrugged on a black jacket, the doorbell rang. I pulled it open and was more than happy to be greeted by who was standing on the other side.
"Zayn!"
I wrapped my arms around his neck and he hugged me tight.
"Alright sis?"
I hadn't seen Zayn in about 4 weeks and I'd missed him so much. We walked into my house and Zayn dropped a bag on the floor.
"What are you doing here? I didn't know you was coming back!"
"Yeah well I've missed you 'ent I?" He grinned. "How was America?"
"Amazing, it's was better than I ever expected."
"Good, you'd go back then?"
"If only." I said rolling my eyes. "I brought you something back! Stay there!"
I ran upstairs and grabbed the basketball jersey and box of American candies and rushed back down to Zayn who was now sitting on the sofa.
"Peanut butter cups?! Oh my god, they're my favourite! And this jersey! I love it. Cheers Mel."
He kissed my head and smiled. "Have you heard off mum or dad?"
"Nope, not since they found out about Jack." I shrugged. "It's no big deal I guess."
"I haven't heard from them either, they can be so fucking stubborn at times." His brow furrowed.
"At times?" I laughed. "They're stubborn all the time."
He smiled and nodded. "True! Anyway were you going somewhere? Don't let me keep you here."
"I was just gunna go get my nails done." I said spreading my fingers out infront of me. "The voucher you gave me expires soon."
"Ah, you go then, I'll wait here. It's alright if I stay for abit ain't it? I haven't seen the lads for ages, how's Harry?"
"Yeah stay for how long you want and Harry? He's good, yeah, he's fine." I shrugged.
"Are you sure?" He said, half smiling.
"Yeah." I said, shaking off the conversation. "I better go anyway, I'll catch you in a bit."

"Mel, how are you?!" Monique grinned as I walked into the salon. "Long time no see girl."
She pulled me into a hug and lead me over to a nail bench. Monique was quite tall and very slim with her long, dark hair in neat waves around her shoulders. She was half Spanish and had the most gorgeous olive skin tone. I used to go to school with her and we've been friends for years. She's always been extremely pretty. In school she was always the girl all the boys practically drooled over.
