Chapter 5
Shion sat in his room with a phone to his ear.
"Mum, the year is nearly over. I've spent five years here, four of them studying and one of them doing my accelerated masters. I think it's about time I return. What do you think?" Shion asked.
"Shion, it's been five years. We talked with you a lot, but we haven't seen you in five years. The sooner you come home, the better. I won't asked what happened five years ago, but please come home this time, Shion," his mother begged.
It pained Shion greatly to hear his mother beg for his presence. He hadn't been a filial son. When he got back, he decided to apologize and thank his family. They had been his greatest support. He called at all unholy hours of the morning when he felt sad or distressed and never once had his parents told him to stop. They quietly listened and gave advice. They didn't care about expenditure, as long as he was happy, but now Shion was qualified. He had a degree and master's in Business from a top-ranking university. He decided to go back home to help out with his father's meagre company. The company wasn't anything special, they were fairly small and weren't wide-spread, but it was a sincere honest company. Shion had only been able to go to his private high school and top-ranking university because of his academic scholarship.
"Two more weeks, mum, and I'll be home," Shion smiled.
"I'll make all your favourite meals. Do you still like that fattening gratin you used to like?" his mother probed.
"I'd kill to have it again," Shion chuckled.
"Well then, I'll make you an extra big portion then," his mother giggled.
"Mum," he said gently.
"What is it, Shion?" she queried.
"I love you," he replied.
Their conversation lasted a few more lines and then cut off the line. It had been such a long time. Originally he'd planned to go back. It just happened that Orion's appearance had pushed it forward. It had already been so long since the days where he'd feel the breeze on the school top roof? Time had stilled for him. Apart from his appearance, there was little that had changed. He rose from the floor, grabbed his keys and went to his new work place. After a solid five hours of work, returned to his room where he resumed writing his master's thesis. Day in, day out. He didn't even have the need to go back to the school to check his data. There was no need to turn up, so he didn't. He sat quietly at his desk reading and writing his thesis. He had no idea that if he went to the university, he would find Orion waiting for him; however, for his own sake, he decided not to.
After a week, Orion finally gave up his endeavour. His flashy car caught people's eyes and although that hadn't formally come to ask about him, they would soon. He looked for other routes to find his decidedly nomadic friend.
Later that day, Shion returned to the school to submit his thesis early to his supervisors. It would be quite some time before they decided whether or not they wanted to publish it, so Shion decided to tell his supervisors about his return home. His supervisors had discouraged it, but it was a commitment that Shion had made, so he wouldn't budge. He returned back to his home and began packing. His efficiency was enough to scare someone. This time, he decided to mail some of his packages him in small portions. Even after five years, the apartment was surprisingly empty, so cleaning hadn't taken too long. He released the lease he had on the house and paid the minor cancellation fee. The day afterwards, He began tying up loose ends. He wanted to leave as soon as possible to avoid Orion, but there was no helping it when he had friends to farewell and things he needed to do. He applied for mail redirection back to his old home and called his friends to tell them he was leaving. His friends insisted on having a party two nights from that day. Avery in particular had made a large fuss. He knew that Shion would eventually go back to where he came from, but it was fairly sudden. He vowed to make it the biggest event that Shion had ever seen. Shion chuckled and flopped back onto his bed. There were still a few things left to do. He had to thank his supervisors and lecturers, talk to his landlady, move the rest of his things, change the tyres for the long drive home, the list went on and on. For the time being, he just let sleep take over him. That night he dreamed of the same oak brown eyes piercing through his soul. They emotionlessly watched his every move as he squirmed on the bed. He felt it laughable that even though he had only seen him once in five years, they still had such a captivating hold on him. His heart still beat for the man who was so unknowingly cruel. He felt the warm body. Felt every ripple of muscle and every ounce of strength throughout his body. He felt the warm hands move down to the area where he'd never allowed anyone else to touch, and felt a hand slowly stroke his length. He felt Orion's finger slid up and over the tip then encircle its entirety and pump up and down. The repetitive movement was repeated until white fluid splattered onto Orion's hand. Using that very same fluid, Orion moved his hand to Shion's rear entrance. A finger slipped inside. The taut muscle relaxed before Orion slid another and then another. At the same time, Orion's tongue gently teased Shion's nipples. Shion writhed beneath the gentle hands and smiled at the gentle man about him. His body was caressed in all the areas that Orion knew he enjoyed. Shion entwined his fingers into Orion's hair as he felt Orion change his position. He lay down on the bed with Shion on top.
