A/N: It's out (finally)!! For those of you who don't know, in certain cultures, if someone sneezes, it's usually becuase someone talking about you. Interesting fact: Did you know, Avery was never meant to reappear in the story? His last chapter was meant to be at the farewell party in ch 10 or something. ^^

Chapter 35:

Thinking of teasing his good friends, Avery cackled in his heart, and with an innocent expression teasingly called out to the two people beside him, "Hey, I'm not waiting till next Christmas for you guys. Your lovey-dovey time is over. Eat your food before it goes bad, and we get kicked out."

Avery had never seen Shion blush as quickly as he had in that moment.

"Avery, can't you choose wiser words when we're at a decently expensive restaurant?" Shion spluttered.

Avery leaned forwards, and chuckled evilly, "Oh, so you do admit that it's lovey-dovey between you two?"

Avery watched with immense amusement as Shion's face twisted into something between embarrassment and anger. His evil laughter brought Orion out of his trance where he watched a certain interference leaning closer to Shion. His lip twitched as felt the need to simultaneously throw Avery off his chair and pull Shion towards him. Wisely, he chose neither. Instead, Orion leaned over and pushed the pair away from each other.

"What do we have here?" Avery asked in an investigative tone as he watched Orion with an intense expression.

Orion shrugged. He wasn't comfortable seeing Avery so close to Shion, so he split them apart.

Avery turned to Shion and laughed heartily, "I never thought you of all people would end up with the jealous type."

Shion's brows had been raised, but quickly reverted back to normal at Avery's statement. He learned towards Avery and gently pinched his cheek in a playful manner.

"What do you mean jealous. Don't just go shipping your friend with others or I'll ship you together with some random off the street, push you in his direction and hope that you end up kissing," Shion teased.

Avery felt himself sweating bullets as he tried to reason with Shion, "If you're going to do that, I dearly hope you pick a fine-looking female."

"Of course, a fine-looking, gentle and sweet bull dog," Shion cackled.

A look of horror crossed Avery's face as Shion swiped out his phone to take a picture.

Avery, upon seeing his embarrassing moment memorialised quietly strained, "Hey!"

Shion smirked and hid his phone away from Avery's prying hands. He turned to Shion in a ploy to lay innocent to find Orion dazedly sitting, and starring at a wall.

Orion's thoughts weren't visible on his face. On the surface, he looked completely dazed, but if one looked deeper, they would find conflicting thoughts.

Jealous, he was jealous? Impossible. To be jealous of someone, one had to like someone first. Then he liked Shion? What did it mean to like someone? Did it mean he liked him if he didn't like seeing flies buzzing around him? Did it mean he liked him if he didn't want him to ever disappear from his sight? Did it mean he liked him if he could feel his heart flutter when he saw Shion smile or feel rage when someone tried to take him away?

Why was the concept of 'like' so complex?

He didn't understand. He'd never had to 'like' someone before. People came rushing to push each other aside when he approached. All the people he'd met saw his money or his good-looks and approached him to get into his pants. A few times, he'd accepted the reality that anyone who approached just want a chunk of his money or the fame of having slept with him. Shion was different. Shion never threw himself at him. He never pushed him for expensive presents or attempted to devour his assets. Shion stood beside him without asking for anything; he enjoyed the breeze of a wide open plain standing next to him more than he enjoyed a new Versace watch straight from the newest line. Shion never told the world that he was his lover. He never used his fame to bolster his status in life. Shion was different. Shion was special. Shion is special. Shion is his.
