I'm sorry it's a bit late. I've had the mother of headaches for the last few days (from what I can tell, it's becuase of my bad porsture), so I delayed a bit. I also didn't know how to finish off this chapter, so...sorry! I also started writing a few fun things a while back, one of which is a basic, basic, basic, might I repeat, basic guide to writing. Anyone interested in taking a peek? I also had a request to look at some of my older, asian-themed bl which I'm totally not proud of. I'll start editing/rewriting those and uploading them slowly since I'm really not proud of how they're written at the moment. (=^~^= I do know that this story is usually saved in people's 'asian bl' folder, so maybe you might be interested). Well, tell me your thoughts below.
Chapter 34:
Avery was intently watching the newcomer when he decided that if Shion was uncomfortable, he would start a conversation with him and continued on for as long as possible to prevent further tension.
"So, so, what are you going to do now that you've graduated?" he asked.
Shion, having been snapped out of his confused mindset, tilted his head in thought and said, "I don't know. A lot's happened, but I won't be trying to start my own company again."
"Hang on a moment, what do you mean by again?" Avery questioned.
"Ah, right, I haven't told you yet. I requested the help of a man named Lebanoski, and –" Shion started.
Avery recoiled, "You went after that sleaze bag? The entire industry knows he goes after pretty, young things! He doesn't care what's down there at all! What the hell were you thinking!"
Shion grumbled, "I learnt that the hard way. Good thing he hasn't been released from hospital yet. I feel like the minute he's released, he's going to send a court hearing my way."
Avery, who was clearly extremely baffled, couldn't help but utter, "What on heaven's one earth did you do to him. I swear if you did something stupid, I will applaud your heroic actions for taking down that disgusting excuse of a human."
Shion looked away with a guilty conscience, "Well, you weren't wrong, he did try to go after my ass, so by reflex...I kind of threw a pen at him."
"He ended up in hospital because you threw a pen at him?" Avery asked, clearly appalled.
"No, how to put this, I may or may not have practically stabbed him in the eye," Shion mumbled.
Avery stared at Shion for a moment, "You are kidding right?"
"It was self-defence from a reputable pervert who wanted a piece of me. What can I say?" Shion shrugged.
As they chatted, Orion could feel a barrier building between himself and Avery and Shion. He could feel the thin glass which constricted his voice when he wanted to say something. The current scene was playing out like a movie to him. He could see the actors. He could even touch them if he wanted, but he couldn't speak.
He could feel the fiery emotion beginning to surge within him. This wasn't why he'd come out here today. He wasn't here to watch Shion being snatched away. He was here to grasp him. He could barely make out the conversation's content anymore when the impulse to say something, anything, sent his mind into overdrive.
"Do you want dessert!" he gushed loudly.
Neighbouring tables eyed the hollering newcomer with disdain. Such humiliation had never befallen Orion before. He'd always been respected in any field he entered whether it be from his family background, his monetary status or even his good looks. No one had ever seen or so much as heard of Orion, the ultimate teen idol, making a complete fool of himself. Even with the apparatuses on his face, one could still see his cheeks flaming.
