Chapter 15:

In the following days, one by one, Levi would gratefully find Orion removing all the friends with benefits from his list of contacts. Orion didn't bother to cushion the blow by telling each one individually, he texted them all in a group text that consisted of solely two words 'it's over', and sent it out.

While Orion was busy dealing with torrents of replies flooding in from many of his single night friends, Levi was tracking down the man that trailed after Catherine, realizing only after a few days that the photographer was extremely slippery. While he searched, he regularly visited Orion's condo to find and deliver documents where he would find Shion on his laptop, reading, eating or watching TV. He had no clue how someone as sociable as Orion had managed to get into a relationship with someone so ordinary.

A few times he started a conversation with Shion to investigate why his presence never left Orion's home. From the day that Levi had first seen him to the following week that Shion had stayed, without fail, Shion would be in the house. He asked Shion things in a roundabout manner, lest he was reprimanded by Orion, but Shion being someone who didn't like interaction much, usually answered simply. He didn't divulge more information that necessary yet answered the question in an undeniable answer. To Shion, the relationship that he had between Orion was one that brought him shame. To Levi, Shion was perfectly normal. There were thousands of people man and women alike, that would gladly throw themselves at Orion without a stitch of clothing if they knew he would embrace them, so even if Shion was just Orion friend to satisfy his sexual needs, Levi wouldn't find it strange. However, when Levi figured that he probably would not be able to ask in a roundabout manner anymore. The answers were always too vague to make sense of. Instead he settled for a new approach. He asked him outright.

"Shion, as Orion's manager, I want to ask you, why are you here?" he asked.

"I want to be here as much as you want me to be," Shion replied.

"What's stopping you then?" Levi enquired confusedly.

It seemed strange to Levi that Shion would be in Orion's house if he detested being there as much as he thought he did.

"Orion has control over my parent's company. His condition of return was to stay by his side. So here I am, a twenty three year old business graduate with masters unable to return home, and stuck in another's," Shion laughed.

Levi's brows furrowed in distaste. So Shion was insisting on staying like all of Orion's one night stands, he was being forced here in a deal to return his parent's company. He thought about it for a bit. Should Orion's father come across news that he was rooming with another man and most likely had intimate relations with him forcefully, his father would probably return his company to him in fear of another legal case in his hands.

"Shion, Orion's career is important to him even if he doesn't admit it himself. If the public finds out that he's having a 'questionable' relationship with another male, it might destroy the reputation he's built up," Levi told Shion kindly.

Knowing that poor Shion wasn't here voluntarily considerably eased up Levi's prejudice against him. Levi didn't have something against Shion because he was male, but because everyone that offered Orion their 'service' previously had been despotic and empty-headed. Amongst the most stupid were people that had previously attempted to treat him as a slave while the slightly more intelligent ones had looked at him disdainfully, but said naught in fear of Orion's retaliation. Amongst all the people that Orion had brought home, the most pleasant of them would have to be Shion who was polite despite not saying much and didn't regard him as some inferior being.
