Chapter 54
Shion moved to sit beside Orion and rested his head on Orion's shoulder while he admired the glittering golden band. He smiled happily up at Orion who let him do as he wished. Shion's emotions were so highly rigged that he couldn't help but giggle like a school girl. On his face was an extremely silly smile refused to go away. Orion watched as Shion practically danced around on the bench waving the ring around filled with excitement and joy. Slightly frustrated that although he was the one that have given Shion he ring, he was being ignored. Orion thrust out his hand and pulled Shion into his embrace. Shion's hand was slowly brought up to Orion's lips as a light kiss was planted on the gold band.
Not too far away, hiding in the bushes, a silent shriek radiated throughout the land.
'YOUR HEAD IS IN THE WAY! IT'A A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE TO SEE YOU KISS SHION'S RING, BUT YOUR HEAD IS THE GOSHDAMN WAY!'
"Oi, they've been sitting there for like two hours, and we haven't had dinner yet, can we just go and grab some of the leftover food?" Levi asked.
"Shut up. My friend just got engaged for the second time to the same person. Don't ruin this beautiful momen- cramp, cramp, cramp, cramp, cramp. Holy mother of heaven, my calves," Avery scowled in pain.
"You ok? We've been crouching here for two hours. Don't you think we should give them some privacy? What if they suddenly decide that this is the day they want to try doing something outdoors? Are you going to get that on film?" Levi grumbled.
Avery, lying on his back nursing his calves, sat bolt upright, "Why? Do you think it'll happen?"
Levi's face grew dark; no wonder Shion and Avery were friends.
"You've taken enough pictures, we should leave. They need their privacy," Levi called quietly.
"I haven't taken nearly enough photos of this moment. Think of all the pictures they can hang up on their walls. Dang, they're such beautiful pictures, I might hang one up on my ow wall," Avery smiled.
Levi shivered. The mental image of Shion and Orion's engagement photo hanging on his walls was more than enough to send him running for the hills. He never wanted to imagine such a terrifying scene. Scarier yet, if Orion found such a picture hanging on his wall. Hanging his head, Levi lamented, he didn't get paid nearly enough for what he did. He threw thoughts of the still-technically-not-legal engagement out the window and thought of all the work he had piled up. He didn't even know if he had any tears left to cry. The pile was sky high and filming had already been delayed to the point where all the scenes that didn't include Orion had already been filmed. Heavens help him, he had to pull through this.
Speaking of work, Levi turned to Avery again, "Don't you have work? Why do you seem to have so much free time to play around here?"
"Call it moral support. I did start a new job, but they didn't request an immediate start, so I asked for a delayed start to recover from my uni days. I mean, Shion wasn't there, but we did graduate not too long ago. It just so happened that Shion called me up and asked me to visit. Of course, I had to oblige. It is probably around time I leave though. I haven't even booked the ticket yet," Avery replied.
Hanging his head, Levi suddenly had the impulsive urge to strangle Avery. This young fellow had such a stress-free life where he could request for leave even before starting a job while he had to work more than thirty hours a week of overtime trying to make the world spin. Albeit, he did get paid handsomely for the over time, but that was beside the point; he also wanted a vacation and a regular forty hour week!
Huffing, Levi turned back to watch the lovebird's romantic scene where he felt like crying again. Not only did he want a vacation and a regular forty hour week, he also wanted a lover who could put up with him like Shion put up with Orion. Was that so much to ask?
