Chapter 36:

"Classara, speed up the pace. Speed up this fiasco as quickly as possible. Don't let the public catch wind of the engagement. Make sure your father isn't going to be a busy body. I'm sure your dear Lily will be depressed if she finds that you're getting married to some high profile male," Orion called into the phone.

Classara's responses consisted of some words unpleasant to the ear as she claimed he was using Lily against him. Only when they came to a mutual agreement did Orion finally put down the phone. Perhaps they'd need to meet up a few more times before they could fake their engagement. Regardless of whether it was by choice or not, his father was determined that he end up with a woman as fast as possible.

His father's underlying message was actually a threat to his inheritance of the company should he fail to find be married. The façade of marriage was merely to resolve the threat that was looming over his head, for Orion Lukenlore had never really been the one to follow orders at all.

Orion moved towards the shower where the clothes covering his body were swiftly removed and scattered about the ground. Turning the tap, Orion waited for the water to heat up before submerging his body under the soft pelts of water coming from the faucets. He could feel the stress of yesterday draining out of his body. The steaming shower provided him a few minutes to think while the water effectively barred the entrance of nonsensical thoughts.

Today's schedule was fairly full. Now that he'd identified this uncomfortable feelings that slowly gathered in his heart, he longed to shower them on somebody. He'd never been in a relationship before, and completely lost on what to do, so he could only try his best.

A feeling of warmth spread throughout his body, and unknowingly, a grand smile emerged on his face.

"I lo-," Orion started.

"L-love you," he continued.

The disjointed confession attempt to the wall caused his face to turn beet red even without the hot water pelting him. He felt that the saying 'even the walls have ears' had suddenly become very litereal. At the moment he couldn't even express his emotions clearly.

Figuring that currently, confessing with the current state of their relationship was impossible, Orion tried practicing the first words that he owed Shion.

"I'm sorry," he practiced.

For better or for worse, apologizing flowed of his tongue much easier than confessing did. He faced the tiled wall and practiced again until the foreign words become somewhat normal. One had to remember that Orion was a young master who could have hired someone to tie his shoe laces. Any problems he had he could sort out through money. Unfortuantely, the money-loving personality didn't quite associate itself of Shion. In fact, Shion's lack of interest in money was probably the reason that he fell for the guy.

Shion's appearance was on the fairer side; however, he wasn't the most stunniner person he'd ever seen, nor the most intelligent or rich, but he was the most aloof and unaffected person he'd ever known. Perhaps he was just longing to catching him, but when he heard Levi's previous words, he retracted the thought immediately.

"If I don't love him, I should set him go," Orion repeated.

Saying the sentence didn't make him feel physically ill, but the mere thought of it instantly sending his mind into overdrive in thinking of reasons and excuses to not let Shion go. It took him twenty minutes under the shower, but Orion finally made a baby step forwards. He couldn't deny it. He wasn't infatuated nor was he just lustful (well that he was), for lack of a better word, he was lovesick and bordering on obsessed.
