Chapter 40: Crossroads

A/N: Sorry it's late... >< exam block is just around the corner. 2 weeks, just two more weeks.

Chapter 40:

Shion looked at Orion as if there was a question mark hovering over his head. He wasn't too sure who Orion was telling that statement too; however, considering he was looking at him, Orion was obviously talking to him, right?

"I don't quite understand. Could you rephrase in a not so ambiguous way? You make it sound as if you're a cheating girlfriend," Shion snorted.

Orion suddenly felt like slapping his mouth. His idiotic mouth had gotten him in so much trouble over the last couple of years that one couldn't even joke about it.

"Do you remember how I told you I was being forced into marriage by my old man?" Orion started.

Shion nodded. Forgetting was an impossibility. When one heard that the one they longed for was getting married, it wasn't an easy feeling to forget. At the time, Orion had never mentioned when or how he was going to run away from his wedding, but now that he had brought it up again, it made him concerned.

"This woman is my supposed fiancé. As you can see, she's not into men, and is currently with her lover of three years, Lily," Orion finished.

"This woman has a name you know," Classara hmphed.

Shion turned to Classra with a smile. She didn't seem to be a bad person, but then again, in this situation, as long as they weren't marrying Orion, anybody would be a good person by Shion's eyes. He observed the women at the same time as he was observed.

Classara was dressed in a light blue polo shirt matched with dark blue pants. The combination matched, but it drew from Classara's feminine beauty giving her a more androgynous feel. Beside her, Lily wore an offwhite dress that was hemmed with black lace, zipped at the side and covered a high cut, black jacket.

Extending his hand, Shion introduced himself with grace, "Hello, I'm Shion, Orion's friend. It's a please to meet you."

Lily smiled politely, and shook the extended hand, "Lily. It's nice to meet you."

Classara unhappily drew Lily's hand away from Shion's. She took a step forwards and swung an arm around Shion's neck.

"Classara. It's nice to meet you, brother," Classara grinned.

From behind Shion's back, Orion was glaring daggers at Classara's face. He swatted away Classara's pawing hands, and drew Shion away.

"So, how long have you guys been together?" Classara asked with a nosy expression on her face.

In the distance, Avery was close to kicking a poster. He would have considered it had he had money, but he didn't have any on him right at that moment, so he could only endure. A woman had just intruded in his well-planned plan of tossing the two misfits together. Throwing a ranch in his plans was something he didn't enjoy. Beside him, Shion's parents were also in agreement.

"Been together? I don't quite understand," Shion uttered.

Now that Shion had caught onto the bait, Classara fired of an innumerable amount of questions.

"Well then how did you meet?" Classara continued.

She asked about where they met, how the met, where they've been, why did they get together and numerous other things in a single breath.

Just hearing the long stream of words that Classara was saying made Shion wondered how she hadn't fainted yet.

Seeing the appalled expression on Shion's face, Lily sighed and covered Classara's mouth.
