You know life really sucks when your enslaved to a family of lazy vampires. I swear I literally did EVERYTHING for EVERYONE for the past month and a half. I was happy to not have to do Uncle Emmett's bidding. It was the end of the month and a half, I just lay sprawled across my bed. I had already finished my studies, so those were on the not worry about list.

"Annabella," called grandma, probably from the stairs. My first response was a groan and then I rolled off my bed. "Coming," I said, my voice sounding slightly hoarse. I trudged my way to the stairs and sure enough, grandma stood at the bottom of the stairs. She had a concern look spread across her face. "Are you okay, hun?" she questioned. Well I didn't feel that well, but I honestly didn't like being babied. "Yeah, just hungry," I said, making my way down the stairs. She eyed me one more time, before ushering me into the kitchen for some brunch. It was 11:00 in the morning after all.

Renesmee was out with mom and dad, so I was stuck here with grandma, Aunt Alice, and Uncle Jasper. I ate slowly, staring distastefully at the food in front of me. When I ate all I wanted, I made my way back up the stairs and took a shower. The water caped me in a warm cloak, for some reason I was freezing. I coughed a couple of times after I was through with my shower, but I knew this was something that wasn't serious, so I didn't worry about it.

I got changed and decided to go for a walk around the house. My lungs felt slightly swelled, but the cool air slowly helped. It wasn't a full help though, I felt restless and slightly nauseated. I crossed over the bridge that was built so that Nessie and I didn't haven't to jump it. My head began to throb, I blinked. Maybe there was something wrong with me? I made my way through the forest and to the cottage. I opened the door and made my way to my bedroom. I opened the door and flopped down on the bed.

My head was seriously throbbing at the moment. It also became increasingly harder to breath. I flipped up into a sitting position and began gasping for breath. The pain in my chest was excruciating. I stood up and using my full speed, which was slightly faster than a normal human, I ran quickly to the main house. I flew in through the door, my breathing was extremely hard. The pain in my chest increased, I fell to my knees, clutching my chest.

I felt cold arms around me and Aunt Alice called out, "Esme!" I heard a rush of air and Grandma asked, "Annie, hun, what's wrong?" My voice was quiet, almost inaudible, "My chest hurts." I could imagine her eyes filling with concern and she said, "Alice, we need to get her to the hospital." I was carefully lifted into grandma's arms and she ran. She placed me in a car, with me lying down. I was small enough that Uncle Jasper sat down in the seat next to me.

My vision was blurring though. I felt his hand soothingly rub against my temple, he was using his talent to try and calm me down. Tears began streaming down my face, the pain causing them to erupt. I soon faded into blackness, no longer aware what was happening. I was equally peaceful though.

                                                Edward's Point of view

When I got the called from Esme about Annabella being in the hospital, pieces of my wall came tumbling down. when she informed why she was in her my wall cascaded down upon me. My human past still lingered into my daughter. She had received, what my mother had before my mother's thing turning into the Spanish influenza.

It was a rare virus, very few doctors have seen it in their lifetime. Very few survive. I was informed on the fact that Annabella would live, mostly due to the fact that she is mostly a vampire. Right now she is in the ICU she still remains unconscious. I am currently passing back in forth, in a state of impatience that I haven't experienced in over 100 years. I disliked it, but I needed to see my baby girl. I knew Carlisle was doing all he could to let Bella and I see her as soon as we could, it wasn't soon enough though!

Carlisle also informed me on the fact that though she would not die, she would be weak for many months. Recovery was going to be a grueling process but it was one I was willing to help my daughter go through. "Edward, love, watching you walk back and forth is sort of concerning me," Bella said, I felt her hand in mine, trying ever so lightly to pull me into a seat. I gave in and a I sat Bella laid her head on my shoulder. i knew if she were able to spread tears, she'd be sobbing. I knew this because I would as well.

"I know she will be okay, I just can't handle not being able to see her," Bella said. I rubbed her back, "Me too, love." I could hear thoughts of others around me, though everyone was going through a tragedy that sat up here, I couldn't help but be selfish and think of mine as worse. I heard footsteps coming down the hallway and a doctor named Dr. Snow came in and went over to a sobbing couple in a corner. I listen to him tell them that their son was going to be fine and that they could go and see him.

I hated to hear that, I wish Carlisle would come back and let Bella and I see our daughter! We've been sitting her for 8 hours. Everyone had been here earlier, but I asked them to take Renesmee and go home. I would call them when we were allowed to see Annie, though I was pretty sure Alice would see it first. I closed my eyes and listened to all the coughs, the moans, and the tragedies that were taking place in the hospital.

I looked up when familiar thoughts clouded my mind. Carlisle stepped into the room and came over to Bella and I. "You can see her now. She is slowly regaining consciousness." A weight was lifted off my shoulders, I sent a text to Alice, and then followed Carlisle down a hallway. The sickness that surrounded here was a little overwhelming. I kept my head straight forward and followed Carlisle into a nice sized room. In the middle of the room was a bed and on it was Annabella, she had an IV tube plus a tube in her nose.

Memories flooded into my brain, I was remembering years ago when after James had attacked Bella and I had made her look similar to how Annie looked at the moment. Bella ran over to her, I stayed by the door, gazing down at her. He hair was in knots across her pillow and her face looked ghastly pale. I closed my eyes, thanking god that she was alive. A funny concept for a vampire thanking god when we were not his creatures.

I walked to where my little girl slept peacefully, looking unscarthed. I heard clambering footsteps and Renesmee ran in. She ran over to us, her eyes looking red as if she had been crying for a while. "Is Ann all right?" she asked, her voice frightful. I nodded and she came into my arms.

I was pleased to have both my baby girls in my arms, safe from harms way, well at least one was. If anything ever happened to Renesmee I would be hurt, crushed. I listened to Annabella's slightly unstable breathing and was just happy to know that she was breathing. Suddenly Annabella had a spasm of coughs and she flung up into a sitting position.

She looked around, her thoughts were confused and jumbled. She looked over at Bella and I and said, "Momma, daddy!" her throat made her voice sound very hoarse, but the smile that spread across her face was a mixture of pain and relief. "Right here baby," Bella and I replied in a unison.
