Rian's POV

I hurriedly ran to the table where my cellphone is. Mom said it keeps on ringing.

I picked it up even though the caller is unregistered.

Sino naman kaya 'to? Gabing gabi na.

With hesitations, I still answered it.

"Good evening. Who's this?" I formally said.

["Good evening Ms. Rivera."]

My jaw hung when I recognized the voice. It's Mr. AC!

"Hello sir. An-anything?"

I feel nervous! Baka kaya ko siya kausap ngayon ay dahil aalisin na niya 'ko sa trabaho dahil dun sa malanding pinsan niya.

["Yes Ms. Rivera. I wanna talk to you about what happened earlier."] He said with his calm and cool voice.

"Sir... sir I'm sorry. I didn't mean to slap your cousin. I'm sorry sir. Please don't fire me." I nervously said with my fingers crossed.

["No Ms.-"]

"Sir please! I need a job for my son." I pleaded as my eyes became watery.

["Calm down Ms. Rivera. I'm not going to fire you."]

I sighed in relief. "Thank you so much sir. It won't happen again. Even if I have to beg for your forgiveness I will."

["No need Ms. Rivera. I actually called to say my apologies. I'm sorry for what happened."]

Buti pa si sir, matino.

"It's okay sir. Kakalimutan ko nalang po."

["Okay. Thank you very much Ms. Rivera. Hope to see you tomorrow. I mean soon. I forgot that I'll be heading to Cebu so... see you when I see you. Be sure to go to work. Okay?"]

"Yes sir. Thank you po."

And he hung up.

I exhaled. Mabuti nalang mabait si sir kahit suplado.

"Mommy! Mommy!"

I ran to our room when I heard my son crying.

"Why baby?" I asked and carried him.

"Mommy you iwan baby." He said while sobbing that made me laugh.

My baby never loved to be alone in a bed.

"I'm sorry baby. Mommy's here." And I kissed his cheek.

He nodded and closed his eyes.

I smiled. I always wanted him baby. I can't bear with the thought that he'll leave me oneday.

He's my everything.

Hindi ko nalang pinansin ang ibang kasamahan ko sa trabaho habang papasok ako ng restaurant.

I know I'm the topic of their mouths.

I directly went to the locker room and changed my clothes.

Sana naman walang demonyong sisira ng araw ko, Lord.

I sighed and went out of the room. Oh work...

"Rian..."

Tumigil ako sa paglalakad at tumingin kay Via na nasa counter nang tawagin niya ang pangalan ko.
