Chapter 6: Beat-down [part 1]

Chapter 6

|JADEN POV|

I woke up earlier than Chanel this morning. She seemed really sleepy so I just let her lay there and get her rest in. I took a shower and threw on some clothes, going downstairs afterwards. I noticed Mary was already awake, watching TV on the couch. "Oh your up early." I said.

"Yeah." She smiled.

I walked into the kitchen and got a pack of sausage out the freezer. "So did you already eat breakfast?" I asked her.

"Umm.. no." She answered.

"Do you want some?"

"Yeah but, you don't have to make me anything if you don't want to. I'll just wait until Chanel wakes up."

"I'm cool with making you something if you hungry." I shrugged. "I have to be at work in about two hours. Soo.."

"Omelet please?" She asked.

"Sure." I smiled.

I mean I don't want her here, but that doesn't mean I can't make her feel at home, right?

I got the eggs out of the refrigerator and started making her omelet.

When I finished, I brought a plate of breakfast which had bagels and cream cheese, a boiled egg, and fruit shaped in a heart up for Chanel. I filled a glass of Apple juice and walked up to the room, opening it a little to see her still knocked out.

I walked all the way inside and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"GoodMorning baby." I smiled.

She stretched and then opened her eyes halfway.

"Mmm.." she groaned.

"I made breakfast in bed for you." I showed her the plate and she smiled.

She sat up all the way and I placed it on her lap. "And I know you love your apple juice." I handed that to her and she giggled.

"Thanks babe.." she said.

"Your welcome." I said.

"Aww the heart! it's so cute." she laughed.

"I know." I chuckled.

"I'm gonna go get ready for work." I stated.

She nodded and set the plate down, going in the bathroom to brush her teeth.

I got dressed in a plaid purple and white button down, some khaki pants, and my grape 5's. I grabbed my snapback and walked into the bathroom, seeing chanel spitting in the sink.

"Im heading out, bae." i said.

"okay." She turned around and gave me a sweet kiss.

"mmm... minty." I smiled.

She laughed. "have a good day at work, babe. Dont let them kids stress you out."

"I ain't bout it." I shrugged hugging her around the waist and looking at us in the mirror.

"Aint we beautiful?" I said.

She just looked at me and shook her head.

"I gotta say goodbye to my babygirl." I told her. I lifted up her tank top, to reveal her huge belly. "Aright babygirl, i'm heading out. Be good to mommy, okay? Dont cause her no pain, she don't need it. I love you baby." I kissed her stomach three times and pulled the shirt down, standing back up.

"ima leave now before I'm late." I said.

"Okay."

I kissed her neck. "I love you."
