Chapter 15:
Perrie's POV:
A huge sigh left my mouth after I shared my big burden to one of the few people I trusted with my life. I had only been Jade's friend for about 2 months yet she felt closer than my own sister Selena ever did. I knew I could count on Jade if things went horribly wrong to make things better and although this situation couldn't be solved so soon easily, I knew she would make me feel better nonetheless. I was right. We had talked about it more and I decided I didn't want to do this no matter how tempting it was. I couldn't, I was never the strong one, always the first one to give up... Jade agreed even though a part of her disagreed with my decision, just like how my heart did too.
We were on our way to Styles Bakery - apparently it was the most popular in town and according to Jade, everything tasted the best. Somehow, I thought Jade must be talking about something other than the quality of bread. We reached the cute golden coloured bakery, Jade was taking in the sweet smell of what bread must smell like. I wish I could smell things too. Oh well.
"Ah well hello there little Jade!" a pleasant and soft voice welcomed us, it was a boy, similar age to us with curly brown hair and adorable cute face.
"Hey Harry! I brought my new best friend along to taste your father's delicious baked goods" Jade said.
"Ooh! I'm always ready to meet girls." he winked.
"Hey" I waved at him, already knowing he was a great, friendly person.
"Nice to meet you er...?"
"Perrie. My name's Perrie." I smiled back.
"Right gottcha" he winked again making me giggle a bit.
"Okay now give us some of those chocolate muffins Styles and make sure my one is extra big cus I just promoted your bakery" Jade joked.
"You know I always give you the best ones and for free too at times."
"You mean you used too when I was new and didn't know your tricks. He's a player Perrie, stay away!"
"I ain't no player, I just like female company that's all." We all laughed.
The shop bell tinkled as two more customers came in.
"Louis! Zayn!" Harry screamed with joy.
Zayn! I didn't dare turn around. Jade grabbed my hand and held it tightly, making me feel a little better but I felt myself go nervous and shaky.
"What's up?" Louis, a Law teacher at college, spoke.
"Nothing, just doing my daily job."
"Wooing the ladies as usual then." Louis laughed.
"Zayn, what happened to you mate?" Louis asked him.
"Not-thing." the voice I had fallen in love with finally spoke. He must have realised it was me standing at the front. My eyes fell on the ground, didn't have it in me to look up and be confident.
"I've been noticing you all day mate. Something's happened hasn't it?" Louis continued to question Zayn. I couldn't stay still any longer. I quickly turned in their direction and rushed out the door as fast as my legs would carry me. In the rush, I ignored the 'wet floor' sign and slipped, only to be saved by him. Again. I saw the beautiful brown eyes for the first time in two days, since the Friday tuition. They were also sinking into my eyes, I lost count of time and completely forgot we weren't the only ones in the bakery.
*Cough*
Zayn's arms let go of me as I stood up straight again.
"Ooh! What was going on there eh?" Harry said cooing and hooting.
