Chapter 36:

Since nearly everybody could ride a horse, it was deemed a great idea to tour the countryside whilst horse riding, it was like killing two birds with one stone.

It was early as I waited outside Zayn's room to return his phone which he had forgotten yesterday night with me and also because I wanted to spend more alone time with him when everybody was probably and hopefully still asleep. I clenched my fist again and aimed to knock on the door when it flung open just in the moment but to my dismay, standing in front of me was a girl dressed in a red robe, her hair dropped wet drops slightly. It was Alisha.

"What are you doing here?" I demanded.

"Her bathroom shower broke so she used mine instead." Zayn answered, emerging from behind the door.

"Yeah so chill down." Alisha said.

"I was just asking..."

"Yeah whatever blondie. And anyway so what if I was here for some other purpose, what's it to you?" she said and walked off to her room.

"What a bitch." I mumbled.

"Ouch!" Alisha screamed, giving me a painful glare before entering her room.

"Why did you have to say that in front of her?" Zayn yelled in annoyance.

"But I didn't say it in front of her."

"You shouldn't have said that in the first place. She's hurt now because of you."

Zayn stormed off down the staircase, bolting with rage. "Zayn!" I screamed but he was gone. Fair enough I should've thought about my words before I said them out but she deserved it plus I didn't actually do anything terrible to her. She was probably overreacting because she seems too big headed to care for petty remarks, especially from me. Was she pretending?

....................................................

Zayn was seated on his usual place at the table. I took my chance to solve the issue once and for all. It was so unreal that Zayn was angry at me because of her but she was his friend and I have no clue how close she was before but she is his friend and I should have respected that. I sat next to him, producing nothing but a dead reaction from him.

"Zayn talk to me." I pleaded, getting hold of his hand only to have it turned down.

"I am talking."

"Not in a nice way."

"Well you weren't nice either."

"I didn't even do anything that bad."

"See you don't even regret anything."

"I did nothing so I will not regret over it. She's hurt me too you know but I don't see you giving her a hard time!"

This time I stormed off outside without having my breakfast, he's not the only one who can throw tantrums. I sat on the bench outside and watched the workers gather all the horses in a row for us. Zac was also there, patting a cream coloured horse but eyes hooked on me. I thought it was just the other day but no, every time I spotted him, he would already be staring at me until I went away. Whatever the reason was, his obsessive watch on me was more than uncomfortable.

"Perrie!" he called me. I waved at him, hoping he would stop staring now. Instead, Zac jogged towards me and sat down next to me, a bit too close for my taste.

"So are you coming to horse ride today?" he asked.

"Yeah."

"You can ride with me if you are new to this. I am very good."
