Chapter 26:

We were on our way to Duke of Edinburgh camp trip, the bus ride was dragging and I had no intention of going there in the first place but there was no turning back now. I had to bribe Jade to come along otherwise I would have been alone and more than miserable for sure but despite having Jade with me, my heart was not settling down comfortably because he was not here with me and I know it's just one week but I already felt like half a heart.

"So... Tell me about it." Jade grilled, a gleam of glitter sparked her eyes.

"It was soo good! I don't even have words to describe how perfect and oh! It was just perfect!" I gushed.

"Oh come on, I need more details."

"I don't know how to describe it."

"Photos will do." she winked.

"Jade!"

"Haha! I was just joking but that look was priceless!"

We both erupted in laughter, waking half the sleepy heads, including Rebecca who was our mentor for the camp, there was going to be two but Mr Tomlinson had to pull out due to poor health so poor Rebecca was stuck with all of us alone. I noticed two pairs of beady eyes glaring fiercely at me, both of them were wearing sour and sulky expressions on their face and the scary part was that both of them never blinked an eye lid, their entire focus was on me. I averted my gaze from them and turned back around. Selena had not uttered one word to me recently and I was worried what I could have possibly done to make her shut up. I always wanted this but I didn't feel too good now.

"Jade, is there something wrong with me?" I asked.

"You look normal why?"

"Look at Selena and Tom."

Jade peeked a look at them two behind us and literally examined me, head to toe.

"There is seriously nothing wrong with you. I don't know why they are staring at you like that?"

"One of you move to the back now and no arguments!" Rebecca retorted, pointing her perfectly manicured nails which I am sure will be wrecked during the camp, at us. Jade had the window seat and I hated all eyes on me so I quickly went to the back seat. Rebecca is such a -

"I can't believe Zayn would do that.", a girl named Kristen was saying to Miley, both were seated in from of me.

"He has everyone doting on him, I doubt he would stay faithful." Miley said.

"I don't believe he would ever cheat on her."

All colour was drained out of me and my breathing was frozen by their accusations on Zayn, I listened further with wide eyes refusing to believe or think. As reality hit me, my heart skipped a panicked beat. Why were they talking about Zayn and if he cheated or not? Could they possibly know...

"Yes but why else would she break up with him? Remember she used to worship him before."

"Yes I know but he is not like that Miley. He wouldn't..."

Okay this wasn't about me. Then who? My mind became curiously excited to learn deeper about Zayn's past and his ex flames.

"It's so obvious Kris. Poor Rebecca but then lucky girl got to have sex with him so all is fair."

Rebecca? Zayn dated Rebecca? My heart slumped deep down where it couldn't be seen because right now I was too embarrassed. It was a strange situation where I finally wondered what I was doing with my life. How can I ever match up to that beautiful goddess of a person that was also my teacher. There was no doubt Zayn had had a busy history with girls but this was the first time I realised I was battling in the wrong field, Zayn isn't supposed to be dating some silly student. He should be with the likes of her, his equal.
