The first weeks had been tough, and were getting tougher; Lorelai Haeven Gilmore was a lot of work for a such a tiny little human. There were constant diaper changes, feedings and cries.

"Jess!" A desperate call from Rory made Jess come running to her side as he always did. He didn't even have to ask what was wrong because the crying could be heard from twenty miles away.

"I'll take her." Jess held the baby and Rory got her breastfeeding kit.

"I hope she's hungry." Rory took Haeven back and sat down on the couch whilst laying the privacy blanket over her. "It's been such a struggle getting her to eat, she doesn't seem to like my breast..."

"I wouldn't know why, I know I sure do." Jess witted.

Rory laughed. "Oh course you do. That reminds me, we haven't had much time to ourselves lately..."

"We went out to eat yesterday."

"That was with my mom and the baby...I mean just us."

"Yeah, that's right...I can definitely do something about that. Just give me 20 minutes with you alone in a room and-"

"Not in front of the baby!" Rory sterned.

"She doesn't know what we're saying." Jess frowned.

"She might, maybe that's why she's not taking..."

"I'd be happy to-" Jess stopped when Rory gave him a disapproving look. "Okay, sorry that was the last one."

"Lukey Lukeeee..." Lorelai called from downstairs. "I need help."

Luke sighed. "With what?"

"Just come up here."

"Tell me what you need."

"Just come here!" Lorelai yelled.

"Fine!" Luke stomped up the stairs. "What did you need me for?"

"I need my bracelet, it's downstairs on the coffee table."

"What?" Luke looked frustrated. "Why couldn't you have told me that when I was downstairs?"

"Because, I wanted to see you...I missed you." Lorelai did her best 'puppy dog eyes'.

Luke saw right through it. "Seriously?"

"Well, what if while you were bringing up the bracelet, you fell and hit your head and had to be rushed to the E.R where they couldn't save you and the last memory you would have would've been from that bracelet and I don't want to have that kind of an impact on a person." Lorelai said in one, straight sentence.

"If that happened, then I'd blame Paul Anka, he was probably the one who tripped me."

"The person or the dog?" Lorelai began laughing.

"You think you're so funny don't you?" Luke turned around to go get the bracelet.

"Thank you!"

"Time for her nap." Rory seemed so thrilled for this time of day.

"I'll get her, why don't you lie down." Jess offered.

"Oh thank you, I'm so tired. Haeven is so much work." Rory plopped on the couch and Jess went to put the baby to sleep.

"Goodnight, precious." Jess cooed. "Please go to sleep, your momma needs you to. She's worn out." Jess stared in awe at the small, innocent baby in front of him. "You have her eyes, and the same little nose." He also noticed that she resembled Logan and that was slowly bothering him. Of course Rory had nothing to do with him, but it still bugged him. Jess wanted a baby of his own with Rory, one he could call theirs. He felt awful for having these thoughts, but it was only true.

"Jess?" Rory called.

Jess kissed Haeven on her small cheek and set her gently in the cradle. "Coming, Rory."

Rory had her thinking face on again. "Jess, are you one hundred precent sure you're okay with this situation?"

"You mean that we're together?"

"I mean with the baby. I know she's Logan's and pretty sure he's going to want in her life and I don't know if you can handle that."

"You don't think I can handle that? Handle this baby? I think I've done pretty good taking care of her when you feel like sleeping." Jess felt his temper rising, he didn't want to get mad at Rory, he loved her so much. He found himself getting mad when he couldn't be in perfect control.

"J...Jess...I don't just sleep." Rory's voice began cracking. "I do so much. I am a single mother you know!" She began regaining her composure.

"Oh, I'm sure you do a lot. You're probably better off without me!" Jess yelled.

"I know I would be, I don't need you, get out!" Rory screamed.

"This is my house!" Jess shot back.

"Fine, I'll leave then!" Rory got Haeven, her diaper bag and her purse. "I'll be back for the rest of my stuff later." Rory slammed the door as she left.

"Hey, watch it!"

"Shut up!" And with that Rory was gone. She got in her car and drove away. She drove to the Hartford Airport, she gathered enough money to catch the quickest plane to London...
