"There's no way that in a year you'll be ready to go to kindergarten." Rory looked at her now four year daughter who was wearing a sundress  with her beautiful, brown, curly hair tied up in two twisting buns.

"I'm a big girl now!" Haeven smiled. The four year old supported a purple romper and white sandals, she had sunglasses resting on the top of her head. "Mommy, can you hand me my purse?"

"You're such a little adult, growing up so fast."

Jess came in from downstairs and saw her two of her favorite girls standing in the foyer. "Ready for your mother and daughter day out?" He asked.

"Yup!" Haeven bounced around.

"What are the plans?"

"We're getting nails done, doing some shopping, getting coffee, and then going to lunch." Rory answered.

"Sounds super fun, you two girls have fun."

"I go too." Adley held her hands out to her mom.

"Sweetie, you and daddy and sissy are going to a movie!" Rory said the last part with extra enthusiasm. "Are you super excited to go to the movie?"

"Movie!" Adley clapped.

"See ya." Rory waved and put her sunglasses on.

"See ya." Haeven copied, and dropped her glasses on from her head.

Jess chuckled and waved. "Bye sweetie."

"Pick out a color, honey." Rory lifted her daughter to pick out a nail polish.

"Ummmm," Haeven stared at all the colors. "I want....purple to match my clothes."

Rory picked out a coral for herself. The two went over to get their nails painted.

"Ohh, your nails are so pretty!" Rory exclaimed. She paid and then they went off to shop.

Jess held Rosalyn as she softly cried. The previous night she suffered from a bad dream of some sort, Jess had guessed. "You're okay, baby. I'm here."

"Daddy, I scared." Rosalyn's small eyes watered and it reminded Jess of all the nights she'd waken up as a baby, crying for him.

"Shhh, I'm here. No more scary dreams now."

Rosalyn wiped her eyes.

When Jess heard Adley calling for him from the other room, he tried to put Rosalyn down for a second. This just resulted in more tears. "Daddy no go."

"Sweets, I gotta go help your sister." Jess just carried Rosalyn with her.

"Uh-oh." Adley was standing in the bathroom with toilet paper all over the ground. "Potty?"

Jess wasn't mad, he was thrilled. "Oh, honey! You're ready for potty training!" Jess helped his daughter clean up the mess. "Milestones, my dear."

"Uh-oh." Adley pointed at the toilet paper.

"Let's clean this up." Jess said.

"I love salsa." Haeven said through a mouthful of chips and salsa.

"Don't talk with your mouth full okay?" Rory handed her a napkin.

"Sorry." Haeven wiped her face.

Rory ate her quesadillas and chatted with her daughter. "Are you excited for gymnastics next week?"

"Yes!" Haeven smiled. "I wanna do flips."

"You'll have to practice a lot, honey. Are you up for that every day?" Rory had a feeling that Haeven would probably get tired or want to do something else but thought it would be fun for her.

"I'll practice all the time." Haeven answered before taking a sip of her drink.

"Good."

They finished up their food and then headed home.

"Enjoy your day out?" Jess asked when the girls walked in the door.

"Yup, we did lots of fun things." Rory answered. "Did y'all have fun too?"

Jess tilted his head towards the upstairs. "We never went to the movie, Rosalyn was pretty fussy all day. I think she had some sort of bad dream but didn't want me to leave her at all. They're both asleep now."

"Aw. Poor Ros." Rory put her bags down and went to check up on the twins.

"Is mommy having another baby?" Haeven asked Jess. "Because she's fat and last time she was fat, she had babies in her tummy."

Jess contemplated on the fact that they never really sat down to tell Haeven that she was going to have another brother or sister. "Yes, hon. Mommy is gonna have another baby."

"Is it a boy a girl?"

"We don't know, we thought it would be cool to be surprised."

"I hope I have another sissy."

Jess smiled. "We'll see."

*****

"Oh goodness, Jess." Rory put her hands on her stomach. "I still have four months yet I feel like I'm about to burst."

Jess kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry. You're really brave going through three pregnancies."

Rory walked out of the room.

"Where ya goin'?" Jess asked.

"To pee for the millionth time this hour." Rory sighed.

"Oh, that reminds me." Jess laughed. "Adley said 'potty' and was trying to use the toilet in the main bathroom."

Rory talked from the bathroom. "That's fantastic! I'll have to pull out the potty chair for her. Both girls should learn fast considering they're siblings and have an older sister who got the hang of it extremely quickly."

"I hope so, Haeven was pain-free." Jess said.

"Okay, I really want to paint the guest room for little baby No.4 here." Rory said. "I was thinking that-" Rory paused. "Ouch." She grabbed her stomach. "Shit." Rory grabbed the shower curtain to stay standing but managed to rip it off as she fell crashing to the floor.

Jess ran running in. "Rory!" He grabbed her up. "Let's get you to the hospital." Jess grabbed his daughter's things and hurriedly got them into their car seats. He called Lorelai and Luke to meet them at the hospital.
