Trick or Treat!

At the costume store, Rory and Jess were looking for something that Haeven could wear for halloween. They looked at princesses, animals, and movie characters before finally deciding on a Minnie Mouse costume.

"It's really cute." Rory noted, picking up the ears. "Now, what should I get?"

"This." Jess held up a skimpy dress that had the word SWAT written over the back.

Rory rolled her eyes. "Real appropriate."

"Oh come on, you'd look great."

"Our child is right there."

Jess whispered. "Please?"

"No, Jess. We have to take Haeven trick or treating tomorrow and there's no time for...that."

"Fine." Jess crossed his arms. "Guess someone won't get to see Magic Jess XXL tonight."

Rory slapped him on the arm. "Who said I wanted to?" She snorted.

"You're gonna pay for that." Jess raised one eyebrow and chased after Rory.

Haeven was giggling away and Rory picked her up. "Is daddy acting silly?" She asked.

"Yeah." Haeven was laughing so hard she even snorted and everyone laughed.

"You're such a cutie, I hope you know that." Rory bopped her small nose.

"Those are my girls." Jess said, smiling.

"Trick or treat yet?" Haeven asked. This was her first time ever going out on Halloween and was extremely excited.

"Almost, honey. Let me finish with the twins' costumes." Rory adjusted the little mouse ears on Adley and Rosalyn. "Aren't you two just the cutest little babies ever?"

Jess came down the stairs with a super man cape on. "Are my mice and Lois Lane ready for trick or treating?"

Haeven jumped up and down. "Yes, Yes!"

Jess got put a piece of paper. "First on our itinerary, head to Stars Hollow for the annual Autumn Festival. Pumpkin mazes, hay rides, and candy oh my!"

When they got down to the town center, Luke and Lorelai met up with them.

"You guys look great!" Lorelai took out her phone. "I need pictures."

"Gramma, let's go!" Haeven grabbed her grandmother's hand and tugged.

"I will meet up with you guys later." Lorelai went off with Haeven to the pumpkin patch while Rory and Jess walked around with Rosalyn and Adley who were starting to walk better.

"Grampa, what is your costume?" Haeven asked.

"I'm just a diner man."

"He's lame, he didn't dress up like us cool ladies." Lorelai whispered.

"What are you, Gramma?"

"I'm Cher." Lorelai answered, laughing a little when she saw the puzzled look on her granddaughter's face.

"Who's chair?"

"Sh-Air." Lorelai corrected, causing both her and Luke to snicker. "She's a singer."

"Like Ozzy Acorn?" Haeven's answer humored them all again.

"Similar, I guess. They both sing." This brought back memories of when Rory was little and she had told her all about the various singers and bands that she grew up with; now this little one was following in her footsteps.
