* ( Extra Long Chapter Special )
Maya couldn't stop herself from bursting through the door of her best friend's home.
"Wake up Matthews! It's Christmas time and I'm ready to open some presents!" She shouted, rushing inside and slamming the door behind her.
To her surprise the Matthews sat on the couch looking back at her.
"You're already up?" She asked bewildered.
"Merry Christmas Maya!" Riley yelled, jumping up and pulling the blonde into an embrace.
"Is everyone here?" Maya choked out, losing her breath from the tightness of Riley's hug.
"Not everyone, just-"
"Me." Maya peeled Riley off of her and turned around to see Josh standing in the doorway.
He leaned confidently against the frame with a festive green and red button up shirt on.
"Josh!" Maya yelled, as she ran towards him eagerly. Josh picked her up and pulled her into a hug. She giggled as he set her down.
"Merry Christmas gorgeous." Josh said, kissing her forehead.
Maya turned to see the rest of the Matthews family watching her. She realized they hadn't been talking this whole time.
"My brotha!" Cory shouted, hugging Josh as Topanga smiled at the pair. Auggie was laying down on the couch, sleeping soundly.
"Where are your presents?" Cory joked, nudging Josh with his elbow.
"Don't worry, I've got them." Josh gestured to the large bag in his hand. Topanga took it from him and placed it with the various presents under the bright tree in the corner.
"Well, while you're here why don't you set up the mistletoe?" Topanga suggested, handing over the small green object.
Maya blushed as Josh calmly took the mistletoe and hung it on the frame of the door.
"Too bad I'm seventeen otherwise that mistletoe-"
She was cut off midway when Josh suddenly kissed her. Her eyes widened in shock and she was pushed up against the door. It was like all of a sudden everything stopped and all she could do was kiss back.
Her hand snaked around his neck as she pulled him in deeper. Josh pulled away first and left Maya breathless and a little warm.
"Sorry." Josh mumbled, nervously turning away. The rest of the Matthews stood gaping at the couple.
Maya grabbed his hand and pulled him outside until they were on the sidewalk.
"You kissed me." Maya finally whispered when they were alone.
"I did, and I shouldn't have." Josh nervously spoke out, letting go of her hand.
"I'm still seventeen." Maya reminded him.
"I didn't care, anymore." Josh said mentally beating himself up for being so stupid.
"I really liked it." Maya told him, before tugging on his collar and crashing her lips onto his. Her other hand played with his hair as Josh's hand went to her waist.
Before things went to far Josh pushed her back slightly.
"Well, Merry Christmas to me." Josh laughed out. Maya blushed and chewed on her lip.
"Thanks Josh." Maya said, before hugging him. She was sure this was gonna be a better Christmas than the first time she'd met him.
