Maya needed to get up.
It was time for her to get out of bed and leave. She had class in an hour and she was still lying in bed. Thanks to her lazy boyfriend who refused to let go of her waist.
"Josh, let go."
"Please don't leave, you're so warm." He said, although the words were muffled by his pillow. Maya laughed. It had been like this ever since they moved in together. Never wanting to leave because they enjoyed each other's company too much to let them go. So Maya gave in and snuggled deeper into Josh's chest, ignoring the clock and her conscience. Maybe they were still in the honeymoon phase, maybe it was going to be like this forever.
"I'm gonna be late-"
Josh pulled her closer and she squealed, surprised by the suddenness of it. Maya ended up laughing, her boyfriend laughing with her as they cuddled up under the blankets. He was always doing this these days, but Maya never fought back too hard, just enough to tease him. But he knew that she liked it, him wanting to spend time with her, it was nice.
"Don't you have classes?" She asked.
"I can think of a few lessons you could teach me. . ." Josh murmured against her neck, Maya gasping in response to his warm breath fanning against her skin.
"Josh, my professor is going to kill me."
He flipped her around so she was facing him, nose to nose, eye to eye. Leaning in he kissed her, a long and lingering press of his lips against hers. She kissed back, their mouths molding together in a way only they could. Maya was beginning to forget about her classes, again.
When they broke apart he was grinning, wide and satisfied. She would've slapped him if he didn't look so darn cute with messy hair and kiss swollen lips. But he looked adorable, so instead she curled up next to him and buried her head next to his chest.
She could always stay a little longer with him.
