She could never cease to amaze him. Josh found himself staring at her yet again. Maya was standing on a step stool, peeling lights off of the ceiling that were held by tape.

She stepped down to set a handful of lights on the ground when she caught him staring.

"Hey, you gonna help?" Maya asked, raising an eyebrow suggestively at him. Josh snapped out of his trance and looked at her.

"How about a kiss?" Josh asked hopefully.

Maya looked at him and scoffed. "I'm not eighteen Josh." Josh hung his head, but still remained hopeful.

"Just one?" He pleaded. Maya laughed and pursed her lips. "You were the one who said no to me." Maya told Josh.

"Well once you start its kind of hard to stop. . . " He muttered, pulling her closer to him. Before she could speak he captured her lips in a chaste kiss.

She gasped and blinked in surprise. Maya pushed his chest away playfully.

"Joshua Gabriel Matthews!" She jokingly scolded, ruffling his hair and smiling.

"Sorry, force of habit." Josh lied as he quickly started picking lights off of the ceiling. Maya stood there smirking and staring at him herself this time.

"Aren't you gonna help?" Josh said, imitating Maya.

She shook her head and tugged on his collar, pulling his face down merely inches from hers.

"How about a kiss?" Maya whispered, reenacting their Christmas actions.

"We need to stop doing this." Josh said, not being able to help the grin tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Habits are hard to break." Maya shot back.

"I get the feeling you're not trying too hard to break this one." Josh countered.

The conversation could've went on if both of them hadn't leaned in and closed the distance.
