Jc and I stayed up for hours almost until sun rise but I guess I fell asleep. I just remember waking up and he was gone, I didn't think much of it since he's one crazy guy. I went to take a shower and got dressed for the picnic, by the time I woke up everyone was in the chicken having lunch, I really overslept."Should I say good morning or good afternoon?" Kian asked as he walked out the kitchen and into the living room where I was sitting, "you went to bed late last night"
"How do you know?"
"I could hear you and Jc talking and fucking laughing, I almost came out to shoot you both"
"Talking about Jc, where is he?"
"Oh shit I almost forgot" he said, "he told me to tell you, he'll pick you up in around thirty minutes"
"So he's not here?"
"I guess not" he pat my head like a dog and walked back into the kitchen.
I ran up stairs and took the fastest shower in my life and threw a random outfit on. I put on very light makeup and waited around for a few more minutes before I heard a knock at the door. I won't lie my heart dropped to my feet and blood the got drained out of me. I was terrified that it would be Tyler or worse, my mother.
I opened the door and I was relief that Jc was standing there with a bunch of flowers.
"Hi" he had a big smile and his cheeks were a bit pink.
"Hi Jc" I smiled.
"I brought these for you, I don't know if you like them, if you don't we can throw them away"
"No they're perfect" I smiled as he handed me the flowers.
"Ready?" He smiled.
"Absolutely"
We both walked down a path that was near the cabin that I've never seen before.
"Why are you acting weird?" I asked. Our walk was silent all that could be heard was the birds chirping and the rocks we kicked as we walked.
"I'm not" he said as he kicked another rock.
"You're so quiet" I said.
"Honestly, I just thought you looked very pretty, and I always get nervous around you" he confessed. I was stunned, Jc nervous around me? How is that possible? I'm nothing special compared to him.
"You're nervous? Are you kidding? I'm nothing special believe me"
"I'm afraid to be seen badly in your eyes, I don't know if that makes sense. But I'm afraid that in your eyes I'm a bad person or a negative person, I don't want to be judged by you"
"And you won't, we're friends. You're pretty much the only one thats actually been my friend around here" I said as I rubbed his shoulder.
"I hope that we remain friends and we're here" he smiled.
I didn't even notice I was too into our conversation. I looked around and everything was perfectly set up, beautiful big yellow flowers were surrounding us, a blue blanket was laying under all the food, even the traditional 'basket' was there.
"This is why you left so early?"
He nodded his head with a big smile. I felt so special, this is my first date ever. I never dated anyone before Tyler and even with Tyler we never went out.
"Sit down" he said as he patted a spot next to him.
I sat next to him and he began taking out food from the basket.
