We walked out of the last store before dinner. I purchased a beautiful wooden pen that my mother can use for work and I got my father a beautiful snow globe for his desk at home."want me to carry your bags?" Jc asked.
"It's two bags I think I can manage" I chuckled.
"A good boyfriend carries his girlfriend's things so she doesn't have to" he whispered in my ear.
"Were you ever this sweet to your girlfriends?" I asked as we walked into a small restaurant Cristy picked out.
"I was never that cheesy but I don't know there's just something about you that changed everything about me" he said as he looked down at me with shimmering eyes.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" I asked as a lady began to lead us to our table.
"It's a-"
I cut him off before he could say a anything else, "I remember this place" I smiled slightly as the memories began to flood my mind again.
"How?" Kian asked.
"Remember the first time we came here? You sort of met Matt?"
"Oh yeah I fucking forgot about that" Kian said as he pulled out a chair for Alice.
I sometimes wonder what happened to him. I know it hasn't been that long since we met but I wonder how he's doing.
"Who's Matt?" Jc asked as he took a seat next to me.
"Um.." I didn't want to explain mainly because of the way I feel about the whole situation, "it's a long story and I don't think it's worth telling" I said as I grabbed a menu from the center.
"You met him here?" Alice asked as she picked up her napkin.
I nodded my head and flipped through the pages of the menu.
"Surprising, you don't make friends very easily" Alice joked.
"What? Yes I do" I said as I let out a timid smile, "well maybe it's a little harder but I do have other friends.."
"Like..?" Cristy asked as he tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.
"Kian and Jc.. and Matt.."
"Oh really so Matt was your friend?" Alice questioned.
"He is my friend. We might of only spent 24 hours together but I consider him a friend. I couldn't get his phone number though, it just happened so fast that I didn't have time to even ask him where we.. I mean he was going" I don't want to tell them the real story because I don't find any use in telling them.
Kian is the only one that actually knows what happened. He basically lived through it with me. Well he was the one who changed my mind and got me to get off that bus.
"We? What do you mean we?" Jc noticed my mistake as I was speaking.
"I meant to say he, where he was going" I repeated myself but I didn't look at him.
We ordered our drinks and foods and as we waited we talked until the food came and even then we continued to talk.
"When we get back i'm going to take you to one of those parties I told you about" Kian said as he took a sip of his soda.
