48. "Lets go on an adventure"

The next morning I woke up in a tangle of my own hair. I pulled my huge puffy hair back as I looked around for Jc.

"Jc" I called out to see if he was in the bathroom.

I got up from bed and went to do my morning routine, use the restroom, brush my teeth, etc.

I walked down stairs and looked for him in the kitchen. I looked for him in the living room and knocked on the down stairs bathroom but nothing.

I walked back up stairs and looked in Kian's room. Kian and Alice were both asleep and Cristy was also asleep In the next room.

That's weird. Where's Jc? I began to get worried. I walked down stairs and opened the front door.

"Jc!" I shouted as I looked around.

I'm not jumping into any conclusions but what if he heard me last night and this is his way of telling me he doesn't feel the same. What if he left the cabin?

"Hey what's going on?" I got startled at the sudden voice behind me.

"I got worried. I just woke up this morning and you were gone" I said as I grabbed his hand and walked with him to the kitchen.

"I'm sorry I left. I just went out for a quick run" he's been going on a few runs lately, I'm not complaining he looks insanely.. what's the word.. I don't want to say hot but that's the only word I seem to describe him as.

I sat him down as I gave him a cold glass of water.

"Can I maybe start joining you?" I asked as I grabbed a watermelon from the counter and began slicing pieces.

He looked at me a bit surprise, "really?"

I nodded my head, "Yeah it might be fun to run together" I sat on the stool next to him with a few cut up slices of watermelon.

"Yeah of course, let's do it" he said as he wiped his sweat with his sweaty shirt, "what do you want to do today?"

I got up from my seat to grab a damp towel, "uh.. I don't know maybe go for a walk, stay in bed the whole day. It doesn't matter to me" I said as I walked back to Jc and stood in front of him to pat his forehead with the towel.

"Wanna go explore?" He asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

My face lit up, "yes" I smiled as I nodded my head.

"Okay, let me go take a quick shower and I'll be out" he said as he stood up and kissed me on my cheek, "you don't want to join?" He asked with a cheeky grin.

"Jc!" I said in shock.

"I'm kidding" he laughed, "unless you want to"

"Go take a shower" I said as I rolled my eyes.

I had my sunglasses on top of my head and my water bottle in my hand. I waited for Jc in the kitchen while He finished showering.

"Let's go" he said as he walked in.

I smiled once I saw him and walked over to him. I held his hand as we walked out the cabin.

"Jc, there's no bears out here right?" I asked as I looked around for a quick second.

"There might be but far away from our location" he said as he put on his sunglasses.

We began walking straight into the forest. Today was such a beautiful day, the sun was brighter which made the green around me brighter and more alive.

After last night I see everything differently. I see everything 10x better than what they actually are. I see Jc and I melt.

"Tell me stories" he said as he wrapped his arm around my neck.

"What kinds of stories? Stories about my personal life?"

He nodded his head and looked ahead.

"My life is boring, I have no stories to share" I said as I thought for a few seconds.

"I'm sure you have something"

I let out few giggles as I thought back to some of my memories, "there was this one time when the three of us got tickets to see someone in concert and we got news that their trailer was right behind the arena so of course Cristy and Alice being the craziest people alive had the idea to sneak into his trailer. I'm bailey so of course I was begging them not to because we would get in so much trouble and my parents would freak out but not even that seemed to change their mind. So we're looking for the trailer and it doesn't seem to be anywhere around and as we're about to give up, in the distance there's a huge fence with a trailer inside, before I could say anything Cristy and Alice had already taken off. By this time they're trying to jump over the fence but I'm not much of a climber, to my luck I found a hole in the fence and start to crawl through it when my shirt got stuck on the fence. I got so scared I thought someone was pulling me, so I began pulling myself to get on the other side of the fence and on the final pull my shirt had a huge tear and it somehow got my skin, and that's how i got this scar" I turned to my left side and lifted my shirt slightly to show him my mini scar, "at the end that wasn't even his trailer, the people that told us were just messing with us"

He covered his mouth as he began to laugh, "you were actually a badass, you were sneaking into places and you have a fucking scar and everything"

"Yup I was really bad, sometimes I even heard people sneeze and I wouldn't say bless you"

He covered his mouth in shock.

"One time I went on the Disney channel website without asking my mom first"

"I used go swimming right after I ate, I wouldn't even wait thirty minutes" I said.

"I used to ride my bike without a helmet"

"I think you win, you're so bad Jc" I laughed as I slapped his shoulder lightly.

"I really am" he said as he smiled.

"I don't know how I remember this but when I was maybe five or four my father took me to the store to buy a few things, and he forgot me there" I chuckled, "I remember waiting hours on the curb waiting for him to come back, I was too shy to ask someone for help so I waited and waited. He finally showed up, he was so scared that he was even pale"

Jc let out a small laugh, "you sat on the curb?"

I nodded my head, "he once took me to go work with him. I met a lot of his friends and I saw my mother getting ready for surgery. She was in her scrubs ready to save a life. I also saw Cristy's grandmother, she's the one that took care of me most of the day" I said as I remembered back to that day, "that was a really good day, I got to spend a lot of time with my father and I got see my mother in action"

"You're mom sounds like a total kickass" he said as he opened a water bottle and took a sip.

"She really is. She's brilliant, she's good at her job, she doesn't take no for an answer and she's addicted to being the best" I said, "I just don't know how I'm going to break the news to her that I won't be marrying Tyler"

"I'll go with you" he said as he pushed a few tree branches aside.

"You would do that?" I asked as I looked up at him.

"Yeah of course, I'll go with you and we'll both suffer the consequences"

"I know she'll be extremely upset, but not enough to kick me out of my own home. She probably won't like you but maybe my father will"

"Maybe?" He repeated.

"I think he will, he'll see how funny and smart you are" I said as I jumped over a small log.

"So it's set I'll fly to Seattle with you" he smiled.

"I guess you are" I smiled back as I buried my face in my hands, "I can't wait to just tell everyone"

He stopped walking and grabbed my face between his hands and kissed me passionately.
