33. "A Beautiful Day"

I was woken up by shuffling in my room. The door opened and closed but I was still too sleepy to sit up and open my eyes. It wasn't until I heard voices whispering to each other. That's when I opened my eyes and turned on the lamp that was sitting on my night stand.

I squinted my eyes and looked at the two figures standing in front of me, "Cristy? Alice? W-what are you two doing here?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.

They looked at each other for a few seconds before looking back at me, "we couldn't sleep because we really need to talk to you"

They both looked wide awake but I was barley sitting up, "can we do this tomorrow? It's the middle of the night" I said as I kept squinting my eyes, the light really did burn my eyes.

"We.. we wanted to tell you we're sorry. I mean I really really really fucked up.. like I knew what Jc meant to you and i don't know I was being a bitch I really was. I regret everything I swear, if I could take it all back I would. I'm so sorry and I promise everything you've ever done for me I'll always cherish it because I don't know how I'll ever repay you" Cristy said as she wiped a few tears away.

Alice looked down at her hands, "I'm sorry too.  Sorry I lied to your face and became a total bitch, I can't even imagine how you must of felt like, you're two best friends betraying you and the boy you were crushing on breaking your heart, I promise it'll never happen again, you two will always be my priority" Alice said as she covered her face.

They both stood there sobbing and sniffling. I just stared at them while my eyes were slowly closing back up. They both looked at me as if telling me to say something.

"Well.. are you guys getting in bed or what?" I asked as I squinted my eyes at them.

They both smiled and quickly ran towards the bed, squishing me in the middle as I was cuddled up and enjoying every second of this. I really missed these girls.

"Let's get one thing clear, I don't like Jc like in that way at all, I don't even find him attractive I swear" Cristy said as Alice turned off the lamp.

"New rule" I said as I popped my head out of the covers, "I never want to hear about that ever again" I said as I scratched my nose.

"Deal" Cristy agreed.

I woke up feeling amazing, I made up with Jc and my best friends. Today seems like a beautiful day, sun creeping through the window, birds chirping, those are always good signs.

I got out of bed and decided to let the girls sleep for a little while longer. I slipped on my slippers and brushed my teeth quickly. I grabbed. Y phone from the nightstand and quietly walked to up Kian and Jc's room.

Kian layer on the bed while Jc slept on the floor, shirtless. I slowly crept into their room and into their bathroom. Perfect to get Jc back for waking me up. I grabbed the shaving cream and squeezed some out onto my hand. I turned on my phone and began to film.

I quietly walked back to Jc and filmed him asleep for a few seconds before slapping the shaving cream onto his face. It splattered everywhere including his hair. I burst out laughing as he sat up quickly, cursing like crazy.

I covered he back of my mouth as I laughed uncontrollably. Soon Kian woke up and began giggling along with me.

"That's all you got?" He asked as he wiped some off his face.

I couldn't even answer from all the laughter.

"Okay okay" he said as he got up and slipped on a shirt and then walked to the bathroom to wash his face, "I'll get you back" he said.

I walked over to his bathroom and washed my hand off. I wiped away the tears of laughter as he brushed his teeth.

"Want breakfast?" He asked. He changed the subject because he was too embarrassed to talk about my awesome way of getting him back.

"Some pancakes with whip cream.." I said as I began laughing again while covering my mouth, "g-get it? Because.. whip cream looks like shaving cream a-and I just got you back with shaving cream!" I laughed out as I covered my face.

"That's enough" he said as he quickly picked me up and ran out his room and down the stairs.

"Jc!" I yelled as I clutched his shirt with one of my hands as the other gripped my phone tightly. I stopped the recording on my Phone.

He sat me down on the counter and walked over to the refrigerator.

"You're in a great fucking mood today" he said as he pulled out eggs and bacon.

"It's a beautiful day today and I made up with the girls last night" I said as I tied my hair in a bun.

"You did?" He asked as he began to heat up a pan.

I nodded my head, hoping he wouldn't bring up the issue he had with Cristy.

"I missed them a lot" I said as I looked at him while resting my head on my hands.

"How bout that hike after breakfast?" He asked.

I smiled and nodded my head, "we found a lake last time, I wonder what we'll find this time"

"Maybe a lost trail or maybe even a bear" he said as he snarled and showed his teeth as he pretended to have claws with his fingers.

I covered my mouth as I began giggling and pushed him away with my foot.

"Come here" he said as he began putting oil on the hot pan.

I hopped off the counter and walked over to him.

"Grab an egg" he said as he stepped aside. I grabbed one of the eggs and looked at him, "crack it open on the pan"

"How?" I felt so dumb not knowing how to crack an egg open.

"Crack it on the side of the pan and then finish breaking it off with your thumbs on the pan" he said as he got closer to me again.

I did as he said and the egg fell perfectly on top of the pan. I smiled and looked over at him, he gave me a thumbs up and laughed.

"I did it" I chuckled.

"You're really fucking cool" he giggled as he grabbed a spatula and handed it over to me.

"What do I do with this?" I asked as I tried to hand it back to him but he wouldn't take it.

He turned me around and grabbed my hand with his and showed my hand every step to flipping an egg. I smiled once I did it, being the first time I literally cooked anything in my whole life, it made me happy.

I turned my head to the side and Jc's face was so close to mine. I looked at his lips and then back at his eyes. He did the same and when I thought he was leaning in I cleared my throat and backed away.

"This was a whole new experience, I learned how to cook an egg, what's next?" I smiled.

He scratched his head awkwardly and shrugged his shoulders, "I guess we'll just find out later"

After I cooked my egg I cooked many more for the rest of them. Jc and I had small conversation about random thing like we usually do.

I could tell today is the beginning to a really good day.
