We both laid at the top of his car's roof. We looked up at the sky and just admired the beautiful stars. On our way back home, he pulled the car over and that's how we got here.

"This is beautiful" I breathed out as i stretched my arm.

Imagine just being able to reach for one of those stars and simply pick it out of the sky.

"Was this a good idea or what?" He asked as he looked over at me.

I nodded my head, "you always have good ideas" I smiled as I reached over and kissed him gently.

All of a sudden my phone began to erupt with notifications. I looked down and they were from a really long time ago.

"Why am I just getting them now if we got here a few hours ago?" I asked as I unlocked my phone and went straight to my mother's messages, "I need to call her" I said.

"I'll give you some privacy" he said as he kissed my cheek and jumped off the car.

As it rang I could feel my heart beating faster and faster each passing second. Shes going to probably yell at me for not calling sooner.

"Bailey I've tried to reach you a numerous amount of times" she said annoyed.

"I'm sorry mother. I-i-"

"Fix that stuttering, speak with a confident tone" I nodded my head even though she couldn't see me.

"Yes of course mother" I said softly.

"Why did Tyler arrive with a bruised eye and a fractured nose?" She asked angrily.

Woah, Jc broke his nose?

"I can explain-"

"Don't waste your time. He gave me all the explanation I needed" she snapped, "he bumped into the car door"

"Mother, there's something I need to inform you about" I said as I bit down on my lip nervously.

"Go on" she said.

I let out a small breath and then gulped the lump in my throat. I was going to say it believe me I really was. I would rather tell her over the phone than in actual person because this way she can't reach over and slap me.

"I miss you" I said softly.

"Nonsense. I've raised you to be an independent women, now you want to come back in tears? I won't allow that in this household" she said.

I let out a shaky breath. Is she making me cry already?

"Yes of course" I said as I held back my tears.

"I must go, I have a ton of paper work to finish"

"Okay. I love you mother" I said into the phone.

"Goodbye" she said before she hanged up.

I set my phone aside as I wiped my eyes. Jc got back on top of the car and sat next to me.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"Yeah" I smiled through the pain.

"I thought she would be a little... nicer" he mumbled.

"You heard?" I asked as I laid my head on his shoulder.

"She's a little loud" he chuckled.

I smiled and nodded my head, "she really is. Now you know why I grew up the way I did" I said with a little sigh.

"Beautiful? Strong? Funny? Adventurous? Smart? The list goes on" he said as he turned to face me.

I shook my head slightly, "when I was younger I wanted to be just like her because I thought she was so incredible but now.."
