I waved off Malory as I began walking out of the office, "goodbye Malory" I smiled as I closed the door."Are you ready?" Matt smiled as he fixed his backpack.
I nodded my head in agreement as we began walking on the sidewalk. The bus stop was two hours away from town if we walk. It's a long walk but it'll be worth it at the end.
As we walked we talked about random things that just popped up such as why did they named me Bailey, when he asked me that question I shrugged my shoulders and we continued walking in silence. Once we reached a few minutes without speaking he spoke again.
"Why didn't you tell me you're a valley girl?" He asked as he crossed the street.
"Because I'm not, I'm not even from California" I snickered.
"I'm not stupid Bailey, those diamond earrings you're wearing probably cost more than my parent's house and I noticed that money you had in your backpack"
I stayed quiet for a while, I don't see the point of this conversation. I don't think it's important that I left out the fact that my parents are wealthy.
"Why does it matter?"
"What if that Justin guy reports you as a missing person or a run away, of course your parents will look for you, and since they're wealthy they can probably find us faster by hiring a private detector, who knows"
I let out a small chuckle, "that's too extreme. My parents wouldn't do that.." I think I'll let out the part where they control my life and would most likely do everything he just said.
"I trust you Bailey not to get me in any trouble" he said as he picked up his pace.
"And I won't" I'll also let out the fact that I have an arranged marriage waiting for me back home.
The rest of the way he stopped for small breaks and he crooned to a song that I wasn't familiar with but it was lovely. I wondered if he was a good singer, it kind of sounds like he is, but who knows.
He wouldn't be capable of kidnaping me would he? I did give him all my trust in a day, was that really the best idea? Probably not. I did put my trust into people who ended up hurting me horribly.
If i was one of the smartest kids in school then why would I just let my emotions and trust run wild. I handed out trust like a gift and had a big sign on my face saying 'hurt me'. What if this all works out perfectly? I go with Matt, I have an amazing summer, and then I go home. I like that plan much better than to be sitting in a cabin all day doing nothing but cry over a guy who's not even worth my time.
I still have Tyler. Maybe he'll treat me the way I deserve to be treated. He said a few harsh things to me but I forgive him, he was angry and I was wrong. I shouldn't have hidden such a secret from him.
"We're here" he said as we both stopped to look around.
I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding and smiled, "finally"
He patted my shoulder and began walking towards a small window, "hi" he said with a smile. Now that I look at Matt he's actually a very handsome man, "can I purchase another ticket?" His voice was so soft and kind it was soothing. His eyes are alive and so beautiful, he'll drive any girl crazy. His messy hair stuck out in different places but it somehow looked perfect like the perfect messy look, "here you go" he smiled as he handed me my bus ticket. I didn't even pay attention when he was purchasing another ticket I was just staring at his amazing features.
"Uh thank you" I smiled as I grabbed it from his hand.
We both sat on a bench and waited for our bus to be ready. I felt nervous but then I felt excited, it was just a mix of emotions.
"I was named after a cat" I said.
"What?"
"Earlier you asked me why did my parents named me Bailey" I said as I covered my face in embarrassment.
"After a cat?" He laughed.
I nodded my head in response, "my parents both hate animals but one of the nannys I had told me that before I was born there was a cat that would always roam our garden and they liked the cat and they called him Bailey" I said as I covered my mouth from laughing.
"I can't believe you were named after a cat" he said as he wiped away the tears that were forming in his eyes.
"I wish I wasn't" I said as I smiled.
"Bus 225!" A loud speaker announced.
I looked down at my ticket and there it was plastered in big black letters, BUS 225.
"It's time to go" Matt smiled as he grabbed his backpack and tossed it over his shoulder.
There was a line waiting to be seated in the bus and it was a while until it was our turn. There was two more people in front of us and Matt and I were the last two. I began climbing the small steps before I heard my name being yelled out.
The voice was familiar and I wish I would of kept going up the steps but I stopped and turned around.
Kian.
