Everyday, you would walk past everyone on the grounds to the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest, even farther than Hagrid's Hut, to do your homework. That, and, well, sing.
Everyone that had ever heard you sing had gushed about your ability. There was just one problem.
     You had stage fright.
You couldn't sing in front of anyone, no matter how much you wanted to. You became nervous, stressed, and nauseous. The only times you would sing were in the shower or by the Forest.
You began quietly humming "This is the Night," your favorite Weird Sister's ballad. The hum slowly developed into murmured lyrics, and then your clear voice broke through the air, and you almost sighed in relief. Holding down your singing was physically painful, but once you let go and sang, it felt... well, amazing.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw the bushes move. A midnight-black dog appeared. You smiled at it, and it disappeared back into the foliage.
Day after day, you went to the edge of the forest to complete your homework and sing, and day after day, the black dog awaited you.
One sunny afternoon, however, the dog was not there.
In it's place stood the notorious bad-boy Sirius Black.
You decided to ignore him and plopped down in your usual spot. You rummaged through your bag and found a quill and ink pot. You proceeded to begin your transfiguration paper.
"No singing today?"
You froze, an drop of ink blotting your parchment.
"I'm sorry?"
"You sing. I've heard you. You're bloody amazing."
"I thought I was too quiet to hear," you mumbled softly.
"You are. But who d'you think the dog was?"
You stilled yet again.
"You? You're an unregistered animagus!"
He nodded proudly.
He sat down next to you, his face too close for comfort.
"What are you doing?" You stuttered nervously, watching his face come agonizingly closer.
He grinned slightly.
"Kissing you," he murmured.
Then his lips were on yours, and all you could think was that This truly was the Night... or, mid-afternoon.

Sorry, I had to make a couple adjustments for the readers, but I hope you liked it, Zahra!
I had a lot of fun writing this cause it's basically me.
STORY TIME! (Yes, that was a Thomas Sanders reference...)
I apparently have an amazing voice (listen, you try saying that while sounding modest!) and the only time I sing is when I'm home alone or in the shower. I got a singing solo in the fifth grade musical, and I have a part this year! I hum WAY TOO MUCH and music is basically my life. My parents (whenever they overhear me singing in secret) tell me all these great compliments and BEG me to sing for them but I don't cause I'll probably end up peeing myself from nerves. The last time I sang in front of adults was my audition and I was practically hyperventilating beforehand.
Okay, enough about me. Hope you enjoyed! Make sure to (omg I just almost typed 'like and subscribe, tweet me at David Dobrik, anything else to add Liza?')
