Fifty-One

(A/N: This Oneshot sort of delves into your relationship with Remus. Don't worry. You're not a ship, and he doesn't like you like that. Your relationship with Sirius is safe and sound lol. This is just about you accepting him as a werewolf. I'll add a moment with Sirius at the end. Enjoy!)

You were laying down on the grass, relaxing alongside the Marauders, when Sirius sat up.
"(Y/N)? Moony has something he'd like to tell you."
You looked over from your boyfriend to your closest confidant.
Remus froze.
"Remus? What's up?"
"Nothing," he spoke quickly. Too quickly.
"Remus?" You narrowed your eyes suspiciously.
"It's nothing."
"It's clearly something! What's bothering you?"
"I'm fine."
"I tell you everything! What aren't you telling me?" You couldn't help it. You were hurt.
"Can't I give her the hint?" Sirius prodded.
"No!"
"Haven't you ever wondered why we call him Moony?" Sirius ignored him.
You looked up at him, an incredulous smile on your face.
"What?" He asked.
"Are you honestly that dull?" You laughed.
"Whatd'you mean...?"
"You're joking." He looked confused. "Tell me you're joking!"
"I'm... joking?"
"You're bloody serious, aren't you."
He smirked.
You shoved him.
"You really think I haven't figured it out?"
Remus's eyes went wide with alarm.
"Honestly! With the amount of puns and jokes you make, it's kind of obvious."
All four of the boys were frozen in shock.
"Don't worry, I haven't told anyone."
They relaxed just a tad.
"Moony? Wormtail? Padfoot? Prongs? The clues are all there."
"So you're not... afraid?" Remus chewed on his lip.
"Afraid? Afraid? Why would I be afraid?"
"I'm... I'm a werewolf, (Y/N)! You should be bloody terrified!"
"Remus. Darling. You fold your socks."
"But–"
"You wait for everyone to have food on their plate before eating yourself."
"Yeah, but–"
"You study for hours. Hours!"
"Well, yea–"
"If you don't get at least an E on any assignment you're upset with yourself."
"I know–"
"You didn't tell anyone to keep them safe. I'm certainly not afraid of you. Remus Lupin, you are my bloody hero."
Remus gaped at you.
"See Remus? Why would (Y/N) be afraid of you? She's too (brave/smart/loyal/cunning) for that," Sirius grinned.
     "I'm honestly more hurt you guys didn't think I'd figured it out," you pouted. Remus laughed.
"Look at the time! I'd best be going," Remus stood up.
"Where to?"
"Um... I have a... a thing..."
"He means a date."
"Remus? A date? What?"
"Sorry (Y/N). Gotta dash."
"What? No! Remus John Lupin get your arse over here RIGHT. NOW."
"Bye guys!"
"Arg!"
Sirius chuckled.
"You're way too involved in him love life."
You frowned.
Sirius leaned down and kissed your lips. Then your jaw. Then your neck.
It was only when he pulled away did you breathe out. Sirius smirked.
"I–"
"Don't even say anything."
"I wasn't planning on it."
You narrowed your eyes. His twinkled with amusement.
"You're beautiful. You know that, right? Even when you're angry. You're still gorgeous."
You flushed pink.
"What did I do to deserve you?"
"You relentlessly begged me to go out with you, that's what," you shook your head in exasperation.
You propped yourself up on your elbows, almost the same height as Sirius.
He gazed at you, his grey eyes taking in your appearance like it was the last thing he would ever see.
"I love you."
"Sirius, I love you too."
"With all that I am. With all of me. I love you, (Y/N). I love you so much it hurts sometimes."
"When you say things like that... it makes me wonder... how did I ever manage to meet someone so... perfect?"
"Merlin, (Y/N), you're not crying, are you?"
"I... dunno," you sniffled.
"Come here," he sat up and opened his arms.
You crawled into his lap and allowed him to stroke your hair.
He pressed his lips to the top of your head.
"I love you," you murmured.
"I love you too, (Y/N)."
"With all that I am. With all of me. I love you, Sirius. I love you so much it hurts sometimes."
