"These are honestly the best x Reader Oneshots I've ever read." ~@-vivalaplu...
"(Y/N), will you go out with me?" You looked up at the captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. "Sorry, I'm busy tonight. Maybe some other time." His face fell, and you turned away, walking down the hall. Being friends with the Marauders had its perks. One might say getting asked out by any guy in the school was a dream, but, with so many of them badgering you, you didn't enjoy the attention. You jogged up to your dorm in the Gryffindor Common Room and opened the door. You shrieked. Sirius Black and your good friend, Marlene McKinnon, were both half naked and pressed up against each other. "Really?" You gaped. "Sorry (Y/N); thought you were out." "I was. For a second!" "Listen, (Y/N), it was an honest mistake—" "Sorry. This is my fault, (Y/N). I'll leave," Sirius grabbed his shirt from the floor and walked past you. His bare arm brushed your shoulder, and he paused. You stepped away from him, not by much, but just enough so that he could tell. He frowned down at you and left. You caught a whiff of his cologne, and, whatever it was, it was intoxicating. You took another breath, trying to steady yourself. Instead, all you could smell was Sirius. All you could see were his hands on her waist, her arms around his neck... "(Y/N)... (Y/N)!" "Hm?" Marlene rolled her eyes. "Never mind," she pulled her shirt over her head. You scoffed and left the room, still shaken by your encounter and your unexpected thoughts. You didn't like Sirius. No. Impossible.
"(Y/N)! Important news! Very important!" Remus shook your shoulder. "What?" You asked groggily, rubbing your eyes. You had fallen asleep on the couch in the Common Room. "(Y/N)! This is important!" "Hm? What is it? What time is is?" You frowned, stretching. "I dunno, like... seven? Anyway, Sirius likes you!" "Uh, yeah, I'd hope so. I'm his best friend," you scoffed. "No! I mean he likes you, likes you!" "What?" Your jaw dropped. "I don't know how the hell it got out! Maybe he was drunk, maybe not. Maybe he just told the wrong person. Maybe someone let it slip. I don't know. All I do know is that he likes you. And he knows you know. So... do with that what you will." You sat on the common room couch, gaping at your friend's receding figure. Sirius liked you. That made no sense. He did every girl that so much as looked at him.
"So. You like me." "I don't know what you're talking about," Sirius avoided your gaze, picking at his food. "Oh, please. Don't play dumb. The whole school knows," you elbowed him. He rolled his eyes and jabbed his fork into your egg, taking a bite. "Hey!" You glared at him. He shrugged, chewing indifferently. You scowled, stealing one of his sausages. "That's low, (L/N), even for you," he shook his head, disappointed. You made a face. "Ah, I thought I'd see you two flirting," James grinned, taking a seat across from you. "Ugh, shut up James," Sirius groaned. You smirked. "Yeah, James," You whined, resting your head on his shoulder. He visibly tensed. You smothered a laugh. James chuckled, his eyes gleaming. "Listen, I gotta go. I'm gonna be late for Ancient Runes. I spent all last night working on that essay. I would've much rather been doing something else..." you stood up, tucking your hair behind your ear and peering at Sirius from underneath your lashes. He swallowed. You leaned forward, your lips brushing his ear. "I'll see you later," you drawled, allowing your hair to slip over his shoulder. He flexed his jaw. You licked your lips and smiled, sauntering away. You heard James roar with laughter, and risked looked behind you to see a red faced Sirius place his head in his hands. Flustered Sirius? Wow. You had a lot more power than you thought you did.
Throughout the week, you were as intimate with Sirius was possible without actually doing anything crazy. He became used to it, and flirted relentlessly back. It became like a sort of game only the two of you knew the rules to. "Hey gorgeous. Any plans?" Sirius pressed his mouth to your ear from behind you. You took a breath. Focus. "I'm not sure," you answered, your eyes boring into your History of Magic homework assignment. His mouth moved from your ear to your jawline. You closed your eyes, pleading with whatever higher power there was to stop him. "Well... I'm free," he murmured, his lips trailing down to your neck. You attempted to control your breathing. Making Sirius uncomfortable was fun. But the other way around? Not so much. "How nice for you," you managed to get out, your breathing still shallow as his finger traced along your collarbone. "Yes... quite nice. Mean's my schedule's all cleared up for a date with anyone I choose," his lips turned up into a smirk. You didn't have to look. You felt it. Focus. "Could be you," he breathed, his fingers playing with the neckline of your shirt. Keep it together. "Unfortunately, I'm all booked up. Both literally and figuratively." You finally scooted away from him, tapping the book on your lap. He barked out a laugh. "Cute. A pun. You think you can distract me." He walked around the couch and crouched in front of you, forcing eye contact. "Go away, Sirius. I have work to do," you sighed in exasperation. "Or... you're just trying to distract yourself." You looked up at him only to receive a wink and a cocky smirk. "Go away!" You prodded him in the chest with your foot. He grabbed your ankle. "Let go!" You ripped it away from him, fuming. He just grinned. "What?" "You're paying attention to me." "Ugh!" You turned back to your school work, absolutely furious. You were both quiet. Sirius day on the ground in front of you, picking at the carpet. You scribbled down some important dates on your parchment. "Just one date. That's all I ask," Sirius whispered softly, breaking the silence. Your eyes flicked up. He wasn't smirking. Or winking. Or doing anything remotely obnoxious or flirty. He was just asking. Almost pleading. "Fine," You whispered back. He perked up. "No. There is no way you just agreed." You groaned, rubbing your eyes tiredly. "Sirius, I swear to god, you make me go over this and I'll take back my answe—" "No! No nononono no!" "Don't you dare say anything." "Not at all! I'm silent. I'm not saying anything! I won't tell a soul." You peered at him skeptically. He smiled innocently back at you. "Sirius..." you warned. "I can't not tell Minnie!" He exclaimed, getting up and sprinting out of the common room. "Minnie?" You pushed the shock away and followed him as quickly as you could. You caught up to him just as he burst open the door to McGonagall's Office. Somehow, on his way, he had managed to grab a glass of Firewhiskey and a large wizards hat. "Minnie! Minnie!" You stood, mouth agape, in the doorway. "Mister Black, what is the meaning of this?" McGonagall, who looked as though she had fallen asleep at her desk, frowned witheringly at him. "Minnie, you're never gonna fvcking believe this." Her eyes went to you in the doorway and back to the eager looking boy in front of her. "Sit down. Tell me everything." You shook your head. "You've gotta be kidding me."
