"(Y/N), you'll never guess what happened–"
     "Not right now, Sirius," you sighed, gloomily doodling on your parchment. Sirius had just come back from a date. When he told you and the gang he was "hooking up" with some random Hufflepuff, you had some trouble reigning in your emotions. You yelled about how they were incompatible, and they would be done by the end of this week.
     "Turns out you were right."
     You stopped, the tip of your quill inches from your last stroke.
     "What?"
     "We are incompatible. She stormed off the moment I mentioned you."
     "What?"
     "Yeah. Cause, thing is, if I want someone to be my 'girlfriend' they have to be okay with me hanging out with you. Turns out, she wasn't."
     You felt a small smile slip onto your face and quickly covered your mouth with your hand.
     "She said some stuff about rumors circulating about...."
     "About what?"
     "About us."
     "Oh. I didn't know there were rumors," you lied.
     Of course you knew there were rumors! Your friend Lily helped you start some of them in the hopes that Sirius would get his act together.
     "Yeah, well, apparently people think we're... a couple."
     "Oh. Um..."
     "Yeah. So I said no, obviously. I mean, we're not. Obviously."
     "Yeah, duh." What was he getting at?
     "So..."
     "Sirius, why the bloody hell are you acting so odd? Just–whatever you want to say, say it."
     "Doyouwanttogoonadatewithme?"
     "Sorry?"
     "Would you... want to go on a date... with me?"
     "Sure, why not?" You said nonchalantly. Inside you were practically bursting with happiness.
     "Okay.... well, cool."

   I remember this being at 150 reads like it was yesterday. I was so proud of myself and so happy that people actually take the time to read whatever the hell kind of shit this is.
