there was an urgent knocking on your door. you ran to the entrance of your house and unlocked it. sirius stood in front of you, snow in his hair. it was only october, and you were surprised at how cold it was. at closer inspection, sirius had tears in his eyes.
"sirius, what's wrong?" "they're dead. (y/n), james and lily are dead."

sirius had been attempting to get you to go out with him all week. he badgered you constantly: in the hallway on the way to class, in the common room, during meals. he was driving you up a wall. the only thing was, you were only saying no so you wouldn't end up like one of his other girlfriends. finally, you broke.
"did... did you just say yes?" "yes, now wipe that stupid grin off your face."
