Thirty-Five (Requested)

     You walked the grounds, snow falling and catching your hair. You blinked, seeing the blurred flake on your eyelashes. The month of February was a cold one, and your Herbology class was cancelled. You were the only student that had made the trek down; no one told you class was off.
     Frowning, you ignored the wet snow seeping into your boots, freezing your feet. As you trudged up the steep incline towards Hogwarts, you heard a soft yelping. Turning your head, a black smudge was visible in the snow, now swirling in the air.
     The castle, or the black thing?
     The wind picked up, whirling the snowflakes and making it difficult to see.
     Black thing it was.
     The closer you got to the lump in the snow, you realized it wasn't a "thing," it was a dog. The dog's leg was twisted at an unnatural angle. You cringed at the injury and gently lifted the dog into your arms. It was heavier than you expected.

     Finally in the castle, you came to the conclusion not to bring it back to the common room. Too many people would ask questions. There was always the room of requirement...
     The room worked, the stone walls opening to reveal an infirmary of sorts. There were spell books with healing potions and charms, chairs, and your four-poster bed. After a time consuming dog clean-up, you picked it up, careful with it's newly bandaged leg, and curled up on your bed. Thoroughly exhausted, you fell immediately asleep, the dog in your arms.

     The next morning, you woke up groggily, your arms wrapped around–
     What?
     You had your arms wrapped around a person. When you made contact with a pair of wide, grey eyes, you knew who you were dealing with.
     "S-Sirius?"
     "(Y/N), thank you. I'm an animagus, if you haven't noticed, and you saved my bloody life. So... thanks."
     You stared.
     "What the hell? You're an animagus? What? You were the black dog?"
     "Yeah..."
     "Why were you out there?"
     "I...well, I wanted to help you, actually," he mumbled shyly. What? Sirius Black was never shy. He shifted.
     "I saw you out in the snow, and decided to come and help you. That was when that blasted tree root did something to my leg. It was kind of ironic, in a way. You ended up helping me instead."
     "But... why did you go out to help me?"
     "Because I like you."
     You blushed.
     "What?"
     "I like you, (Y/N)."
     "I... I like you, too."

   I'm sorry this took so long to write lol. I feel really awful this is so bad my eyes are actually dropping writing this it's only 12:57 but I got up at like 7:25 for school and I want to sleeeepppp I'm so freaking tired agh.
