"What?"
"It's nothing."
"What?"
"I said it's nothing, Sirius."
"Nothing is something, (Y/N). What were you going to say?"
"Nothing! I told you!"
Sirius looked at you with a blank expression.
You rolled your eyes and groaned.
"Fine! But you're not allowed to make fun of me. Deal?"
"Deal."
"I... no-o! It's too weird!"
"(Y/N), you will tell me, or I'm breaking up with you."
"What? No!"
"Then tell me!"
"Well... I was thinking about how much I depended on people. And it's not like I don't want someone to just... want me, I guess. I mean, sure, that'd be nice, but... I want someone to need me. To really need me."
Sirius just stared.
"I told you it was stupid, I shouldn't have said anyth–"
"(Y/N), what the actual hell? You think I don't need you?"
"Well, I mean–"
"(Y/N), I need you like I need air. Or water. Or food. Or Quidditch. Hell, or even chocolate."
You laughed softly, flushing a light pink.
"I need you more than anything else in the world, if I'm being honest. That's saying something. Aside from James, you're the best friend I have. And I... I probably couldn't live without you. Cause, (Y/N)... I... I love you."
You gawked in shock at Sirius's sudden confession.
     "Come again?" You asked in a strangled voice.
     "I love you." He spoke with more conviction, a determined look on his face.
     "Sorry, just... one more time, plea–"
     "(Y/N) (L/N), I'm in love with you."
     You took a deep breath and collected yourself.
     Sirius was looking at you like he said the wrong thing.
     "I'm sorry if that was uncalled for. I just–"
     "Sirius. I love you, too."
     It was his turn to freeze in complete shock.
     "Sorry?"
     "I love you."
     "Did I hear you right?"
     You laughed. "Yeah, I hope so. I said I love you, if you were wondering."
     He chuckled in disbelief.
     "I... I..." He spluttered, attempting to find words.
     You laughed and wrapped your arms around his neck, pressing your lips to his.
     He ran one hand through your hair, holding your waist with the other.
     "Hey, Sirius, are y–sorry, am I interrupting something?" You broke apart to see a frazzled looking James walk into the room.
"No, nothing at all," Sirius said drily, glaring at his best friend.
"I'll take that as a yes... and I'll uh... I'll leave you to it." James backtracked out of the room. Sirius immediately turned to you, and rolled his eyes. With a smirk, he pulled you closer and put his lips gently on yours.
"Now... I believe we left off somewhere around here..." he murmured, using his finger to draw lazy circles on your hand. You couldn't help it. You giggled.
"Was that a giggle?" Sirius asked between kisses.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," you pressed yourself against his chest. He chuckled darkly and his lips trailed down your neck and–
"So, I–YOU'RE STILL AT IT?" James yelled incredulously.
Sirius pulled away from you only to fling a book at his friend's face.
"Fvck off, Prongs!" He yelled.
"Merlin!" He complained, rubbing the side of his head.
James left, again.
Sirius immediately turned back to you.
"Now. Let's continue," He said with a sly smile.
