Stories that Don't Sound Like They are Connected But They Are~Part One

"Lilly! Lilly...." My mother yells in a hurry as she gets ready to leave for her trip to Moscow, "Don't forget you can't go outside until I get back alright dearest, your brother will get you food and everything from the stores if you need, you know his number, Oh honey I will be back soon, I just need to find your father"

She says and smiles at me. Father has been missing for three weeks now. Ever since he went to Moscow he hasn't returned any of our call or texts. Mother is worried about him, so she is leaving me alone until she gets back. I will be left alone in this house without being able to leave for a couple of days until mother comes back. Mother says my older brother Jacob, who has his own apartment next to ours, will check in on me every day but I doubt it. The reason I am not allowed out of the house is a weird one. Whenever I move my hands, something falls or breaks, mom speculates I have telekinesis and I think that is true. I promised her to try to control my new power while she is gone, but I doubt I can. My mother smiles at me and takes her suitcases out the door with her. She shuts the door, then she is gone. As soon as she is, I run to the kitchen. Mother has left many items of food for me to eat while she is gone. As I run, books fall off shelves and a plastic cups falls to the floor. I don't care about what's falling, all I care about is that I actually have food for once. Mother always wanted to conserve our eating habits to once a day, but now that she is gone, I can eat whatever, whenever I want! When I get to the kitchen, my brother is there making me a sandwich. He turns around and looks at me worriedly. 

"I know where dad is but Lilly you mustn't text mom or tell her in any form," He tells me and hands me a peanut butter sandwich.

I look at him with wide eyes, "Why can't I tell mom! She is leaving to find him today! If you know where he is, then she doesn't have to leave us!" I say quickly. 

He shakes his head and facepalms, "She knows where dad is, Lilly, he's off with another woman somewhere in Moscow, mother is going to go there get dad and kill the woman he is off with" He says sadly and moves towards the counter where a red box laced with green ribbon sits, "But here's your birthday present from dad"

How did he get that present if dad was in Moscow..................
