"Small fire! I said to set a small fire! This is not small!" I yell at my fellow timer as we run from the burning building.
Sacks on our backs we make our way to the timer machine near a police box. We are timers, Time Travelers that steal precious stuff. Like that old watch your granny gave you, guess who stole it from medieval times? Us!
"Well sorry!" She says once we get in a go back to our time period.
It's a dark time period that we live in. No one but Timers live on earth for fear of radioactive poison. We step off of the machine and into the rubble of once was the town of england. I sigh.
"Wrong time period Evelyn! Get it right this time!" I yell and we go back in.
Once we are home we go to the marketplace to sell our items. We go to our normal spot in the market place and set up our shop. It's illegal to go backwards and forwards in time, but we do it too survive. I place the items on the table as Evelyn arranges them in a neat fashion. That's when I spot her, one of the richest girls from this time period. Her name is Volt, and she is the master of fashion. She spots me looking at her and I turn my head away and pretend to be looking at the jewelry I stole. Out of the corner of my eye I see her come towards me. That's when I notice the emblem she's wearing. That's when I notice the gun in her hand. She watch stopper, the people who kill time travelers. I try to stay calm but I feel sweat begin to bead from my forehead. Evelyn sees her two, but is a coward and pretends to go to another both and check something out. Then Volt is standing in front of me.
"Nice collection of stuff you got here, but let me ask you a question, where's the museum you got this stuff from?" She says and look me straight in the eyes.
"22 walten way" I say because there is a museum there, but not with this kind of stuff in it. Volt laughs and holds the gun to my head.
"This timer's watch is about to get clocked!" She says in a sing-song voice. Then I am gone...
