"Peggy! Aren't you excited! We get to find who our parents are today!" A young girl beamed, "The state will find out what they did to us and they will take us back! I can't wait to see my mother and father for the first time!"

Peggy stood up and moved away from the young girl in disgust. They were sitting in the bedroom for all the girls in the orphanage. They had beds right next to each other and had mostly identical copies of clothing, necessities, and shoes. The government wanted to stop spending too much money on orphanages, so they did a DNA sample of every single person in the world to find the parents of the children. After that, they planned to reunite every family so they could all be happy, or so they said. They actually wanted to rid the need to spend tax dollars on the orphanages, so they could up their salary's. The teenage orphan named Peggy could see what they were trying to do. She was a very smart girl, but people say she was very odd and had little social skills.

"Peggy talk to me! You need to talk sometime or someday!" The little girl trilled.

"Fine, I don't want to talk, alright, I said something," She said and opened up a book while sitting at a desk a few feet away.

"Well, that's rude!" The young girl said and stuck her tongue out at Peggy, "Why don't you like the thought of seeing your parents anyway?"

Peggy shook her head in annoyment then said, "None of your business".

"Just tell me!" The little girl smirked, "Or I'll tell Luka you like him!"

"I don't like Luka anymore then a friend, but I will tell you so you don't embarrass him and me, I don't want to meet my parents because they abandoned me, they left me to die here, rot in this cell! They don't want me! I am too old and odd for them! Too much of a beastly child! They may have given me this necklace, but that means nothing, they don't care about me anymore," Peggy fires back.

"But what if they had to give you up because they didn't have the money or a home, or even a job! What if they had to give you up because they were too young!" The young girl shot back.

"They weren't, okay, you never saw this, I never told anyone, but they left me a letter, and this necklace, it was only by my mom because I only had a mom, there was no mention of a dad anywhere in the letter, it simply says that she was giving me up because I was an unkind beast! My mother gave me this necklace only so I can remember how I had been to her! She hates me, don't you see?" Peggy yells angryly, "They don't want me, so I don't want them,"
