So my mum bought chickens to raise and stuff. You know, for eggs and eventually to eat them. So there's this really cute blonde one.
Needlness to say, I have decided that one is not dying.
I named him Luke ^.^ Cause he's blonde and he reminds me of Luke Hemmings. Only my Luke is a trouble maker and he's the ring leader with the other little baby chickens. And he keeps escaping and I have to chase him around the kitchen.
That was a snippet of my boring life. Lol.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter.

[ two ] -- the walk
"Your sister is so strange." Luke commented on the strangely devoted girl when they got home and settled on the living room couch.
"Strange is an understatement." Michael laughed.
To the boy, she wasn’t like a person. She was more like a foreigner, an alien, someone they could poke fun at.
Lucy's face contorted as she said, "Eh...Prudence is just...different."
It hurt her that they said those things about her younger sister. But she never stood up for her. Lucy’s problem was that she liked to please people. And she also knew that the only way to get them to stop teasing Prudence was to tell them the truth about her, but she couldn’t. Prudence wouldn’t allow it and Lucy had to respect her sister’s wishes.
"Why is she such a dork?" Calum asked, amusement oozing off his tone.
"You better be good or Sister Prudence will hit ya with a ruler." Michael nudged Calum in the ribs and the two erupted into fits of laughter, which earned them a frown from Ashton.
Ashton said, "Aww, come on guys. She wasn't that bad. I think she was kind of pretty and she looks like a really nice girl. Maybe all she needs is a bit of kindness and some words of encouragement."
Luke gasped playfully, joining in on the teasing, “She’s brainwashed him! Run!”
The three boys, and even Lucy, laughed. But Ashton couldn’t bring himself to make fun of a girl as nice as Prudence was. He felt like it was wrong.

The group let go of each other's hands once done with their final prayer for the night and then everyone was on their way. Prudence, as always, stayed behind with the rest of the group leaders to help clean up. She helped put the posters, the holy images, and the foldable chairs away in their supply room.
Then she walked up to Ralph, who was the main group coordinator.
"Um...Ralph?" She asked in her soft voice.
He turned to her with a warm smile. "Yes Prudence?"
"Lucy can't pick me up tonight and mum is working late...so I was wondering if you could drive me home?" Her voice got more quiet as she continued talking.
Ralph sighed and then his face contorted in indication that he was going to give her a negative answer. Prudence already knew before he even told her. "Sorry Pru...You live on the other side of town, thirty minutes away from here. I live thirty minutes away in the opposite direction and I need to get up early for work tomorrow. Maybe you can ask Sam."
