The next time she woke up, it was early afternoon.

She had no idea what time it was, but she felt a terrible ache in her body for laying down too long. Pushing the covers aside, she slid out of bed slowly and walked out of her bedroom.

Her feet carried her along the dim hallway of her house and down the stairs. From the living room, she could hear the blaring noises of the TV, intertwined with the cursing and grunting of teenage boys. She followed the unfamiliar sounds to see Michael and Luke there, with xbox controllers in hand, deeply concentrated in whatever violent game they were playing.

She stood at the bottom of the stairs, with a clear view of the two boys sitting on her living room couch, until one of them hit the pause button and Michael finally spoke.

"What do you want?" He asked her rudely, his pity for her having been short lived.

She remained quiet.

As she stood there, she could feel the burn of Luke's blue-eyed stare before she heard the noises of their video game fill the house once again.

They should be praying or doing something productive with their free time, she thought to herself. But they're nice guys, I think I'll pray for their souls.

She let out a content sigh before continuing towards the kitchen.

Her feet dragged across the floor weakly and she wrapped her thin arms around herself when she felt a slight chill shaking her.

To her surprise, Ashton was in there, standing at the kitchen counter, waiting for something he had set inside the toaster. By the smell of it, Prudence was able to tell it was toast. The vegemite was out on the counter. Ashton turned when he heard her light footsteps on the kitchen tiled floor and smiled at her warmly.

"Hey Pru," He grinned. "I hope you don't mind I'm stealing your food. The boys and I ordered a pizza a couple of minutes ago, and its taking long to arrive. I'm so hungry."

A short giggle escaped her lips. "That's fine. You don't have to explain yourself to me. As a guest in my house, I would like you to feel at home." Suddenly, something in her mind clicked and she remembered there were two people she was yet to see...Calum and Lucy. "Where is my sister?" She asked the curly haired boy.

"They're in Lucy's room." He responded in a very nonchalant way.

"They're sinning?" Prudence's eyes widened, assuming the worst.

Ashton shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know what they're doing."

Prudence sighed, "I will prefer to think positively."

"Sitting here is boring!" Michael groaned, "Lets all go out somewhere."

"Maybe we can invite Pru this time." Ashton brightened at the thought.

Michael scoffed, "Pru? You're calling her Pru now? I think you're really falling hard for her now, mate." He wiggled his eyebrows at Ashton.

Ashton opened his mouth to speak, but Luke cut in. "Michael, at least wait a respectable few days before you start teasing her again."

"Not that he should be teasing her at all." Ashton added.

"Pfft." Michael tried to hold back laughter. "She's got you in her witch craft hold now too, Luke?"

"I think it will cheer her up if we invite her." Ashton reasoned.
