[ thirty one ] pillow forts

"Thank you for taking me to the amusment park and Panda Express, Michael. I had a really nice time." She said to him with a smile as he walked her to the front door.

When she unlocked the front door and pushed it open, she saw Lucy and the other three boys in the livingroom. Lucy and Calum were making out, while the other two watched something on the tele. Ashton got up from his spot on the couch when he saw them walk past the front door. "Where have you been?" He asked Prudence, looking from her to Michael.

"I took Prudence to the amusement park." Michael shrugged with a confident grin plastered across his face.

"So you're doing things on your list now...with him?" Ashton questioned her, his hazel eyes shooting daggers at Michael. There was anger and annoyance in his tone, though he was trying his best to keep calm.

"Calm down, Ashton." Prudence breathed.

"I can't calm down." His voice getting louder. "The list was our thing."

She could see the hurt in his eyes. She reminded him, "You promised you wouldn't become attached to me. You said you wouldn't fall in love, but your behavior shows otherwise. You can't love me."

"Wait," Luke interjected, "He was talking about a list."

"Yeah," Michael nodded, "What did he mean by that list?"

She sighed, pulling out her list and showing it to the two other boys, "Its my bucketlist. Ashton has been helping me get everything on it done."

"I can help too." Luke offered with a smile.

"I'll help too." Michael added.

She nodded, smiling at them. "That would be lovely."

"But prudence-" Ashton protested.

"Ashton, I can't tell them no. They asked me nicely and they are my friends." She explained tot he golden haired boy.

"But that was our thing." He bit his lip, eyebrows furrowing in anger. But it wasn't anger at her, it was anger at his mates. He felt as though they would take Prudence from him when everything between them was going so well.

"How about you guys make things fair?" Lucy suggested. "You can each do some of the things on her list with her individually and after the three had your turn, we can all do something together."

"We can start right now." Prudence said. She looked at Ashton, seeing him with his arms crossed over his chest. He looked upset. Placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, she smiled warmly at him, "Cheer up, Ash. How about you choose our first activity?"

It took a few seconds to get a response from him, but he finally sighed, a smile appearing on his lips. He could never stay upset at her. "Alright Pru."

She handed him the list and his hazel eyes scanned over the sheet of paper.

"This one." He told her, pointing at it with his index finger.

24. Build a really cool pillow fort.

Prudence smiled. "Oh, we don't have to do that one...I worte it in when I was around eight years old.The reason why I wanted to put it on my list was because when I was four, I vaguely remembered making pillow forts with Lucy and then we'd sit in our fort and watch The Power Rangers. She was the pink one and I was the yellow one. And dad would come home from work with a small bag of sweets for us..." She trailed off, her eyes looking out into the distance as she relived the memory.

"We can do that." Luke told her.

"Calum and I will play too." Lucy offered.

"Lets gather all the pillows around the house then." Ashton grinned.
