Lucy squealed in delight. "You want to be her boyfriend, Ash?"
"No." He shook his head nervously. "I just think she's nice. What's so difficult to understand about that?"
"Well you go through a lot of trouble to prove you just want to be her friend." Michael pointed out with a smirk.
"Michael's right." Calum noted.
Luke added with amusement, "Look how nervous he gets everytime someone points it out."
"I do not." Ashton retorted.
"Just admit it and take it like a man." Michael punched his bandmate on the shoulder playfully.
Lucy nodded in agreement with Michael. "There's nothing wrong with liking my sister. Prudence is a very pretty girl. Any guy would be lucky to have her."
"And I agree with you." Ashton said, "But I'm not interested in her like that. I'm like three years older than her, that would be creepy of me. I see her as more of the sister type."
Calum laughed, "Mate, you act like you're five years old sometimes."
"Yeah," Lucy nodded, "I think my sister can handle you. Your mentality is like...a little kid's."

That night, the boys sat in the living room with luke and michael playing FIFA.
Ashton only watched him, his thoughts wandering elsewhere. He thought about Prudence and her decision to have pizza with Sam. It annoyed him, it angered him, and he couldn't understand why.
He knew he only saw Prudence as a friend.
"I have a great idea." Calum's voice interrupted the shouts of his two bandmates.
Ashton saw the grin on his mate's face and immediately knew Calum's idea probably involved Prudence. Michael hit the pause button on his controller and turned to look at Calum, as did Luke, both curious as to what he would say.
"What is it?" Michael asked.
"I was just thinking...since both Luke and Ash seem to be interested in the nun, why don't we make things fun?" The raven haired boy grinned.
Luke eyed him suspiciously. "What do you mean?"
"I mean we should have a little contest. Whichever one of you three wins over Prudence and get her to sleep with you, will get some prize cash from me." He explained.
"I'm in." Michael said with a shrug of his shoulders, in the most nonchalant manner.
Luke shook his head. "I don't think that would be such a great idea."
"Absolutely not. I can't let you do this to Prudence." Ashton growled.
"Prudence doesn't deserve this." Luke added.
Michael laughed. "Come on, Luke. It'll be fun."
"How is playing with someone's feelings supposed to be considered fun?" Ashton asked his bandmates.
Luke's face contorted into pity for the young girl. "Ashton is right. We can't do this."
"Well if you're not in, I'll get her and the prize money all to myself." Michael pointed out. "Come on, Luke." He wiggled his eyebrows at his mate.
"Fine." Luke sighed.
"That's the Luke I know!" Michael grinned.
But Luke shook his head. "No, the Luke you know would never do something so low, vile, and disgusting to anyone."
"Yet here you are." Michael said.
"Luke," Ashton eyed his friend in annoyance. "I thought you cared about Prudence. She's our friend."
"Friend?" Luke asked, "She only seems to want to talk to you. When she got her nosebleed and you went to sleep, I was there to take care of her. But do you want to know who she asked for the second her eyes opened up? You."
"Aww." Michael cooed, "Is little Luke hurt? Did the nun break your heart?"
"She did not." Luke retorted.
Ashton let out a frustrated sigh. "I'm in. But only because I want to keep you two away from her. She doesn't deserve this."
"Alright then." Calum grinned. "Let the games begin."

At the Carrigan's home, the two sisters sat in their living room. One read her bible, while the other watched the tele.
In a commercial break, Lucy muted the tele and turned towards her sister. Prudence felt her sister staring and pulling her eyes from her book, she asked in a polite voice, "Do you need anything, dear sister?"
"When are you going to tell those boys about your condition?" Lucy asked simply.
"They don't need to know."
"But Ashton really seems to care about you. And it looks like Luke is really warming up to you." Lucy pointed out.
Prudence shook her head. "Ashton especially can't know."
"Why?"
"He's my only true friend, I don't want him to stick around because he pities me." Prudence replied.
