[ twenty seven ] berry fields
Prudence woke up with a sigh, her blue-grey eyes opening up slowly.
She vaguely recalled the events of the night before, until a rush of memories filled her mind. She had slept over at Ashton's house and the boys and the boys had gone the entire night without teasing her.
For a second, she felt as though it had all been a dream.
Pulling her head away from Ashton's shoulder, she noticed he was already awake. "Goodmorning, Pru."
"Goodmorning Ashton." She smiled at him.
"Slept well?" He asked.
She nodded. "I did." But a frown appeared on her lips as she told him, "I'm sorry for sleeping on you. That must have been uncomfortable."
He shook his head, smiling warmly. "I didn't mind."

By the time the others woke up, Ashton and Prudence were in the kitchen preparing breakfast.
The three other boys, and Lucy, followed the smell of food and saw her cooking, with Ashton assisting her. Lucy grinned, "Thank God Prudence is cooking. I know none of us could cook anything to save our lives."
There were scrambled eggs on a skillet, bacon in another, and pancakes cooking on a flat pan.
"I'll help if I can have some of that food." Michael grinned.
Prudence smiled at him in return. "Of course you can help me. Ashton's already taking care of the bacon, but you can flip the pancakes." She handed him a spatula.
"I'll help too." Luke offered.
She nodded, "You can get started on the hashbrown."
"And what about us?" Calum and Lucy asked in unison.
"You two can set up the table." Prudence instructed them while she prepared the eggs.
She was focused on the eggs when she heard one of the boys calling her with a certain tone of distress, "Prudence, help! The pancakes are coming out deformed."
She took a look at the flat pan, there was pancake batter all over the place and they were coming out in all sorts of odd shapes. But with just one look, she spotted the problem. "You're flipping them too early." She explained. "You need to wait for the top to get all bubbly, then you flip it. Try it again, I'm sure they'll be lovely." She patted him on the shoulder encouragingly.
When everything was done, Prudence had them all sit at the table while she served them breakfast.
Her plate was nearly empty, she knew she wouldn't eat much if anything at all and she didn't want to waste perfectly good food.
Taking a spoonful of scrambled eggs into his mouth, Luke said, "Since we're all here, we should go out somewhere." His blue eyes looked right at Prudence. "Is there somewhere you would like to go, Prudence?"
She thought about it for a second before replying. "Well...there is one place I've always wanted to visit, but its probably a stupid idea."
"You can tell us." Ashton told her with a smile. "I'm sure its a great idea."
Michael nodded, "After this amazing breakfast, I think I'd follow you to the ends of the earth."
"I...I've always wanted to go to a berry farm and pick fresh berries. There's something about feeling the country air that makes it all sound so beautiful." She explained.
