Aurora Blake's POV

Leaving Daryl to talk to this man by himself was nuts, he has a way with words. Enough to fool everybody around him, he almost raped me if it wasn't for the pistol I had at my house. Barding into my apartment demanding to know where I have my sister.

My mind was drawn out of the memory as I saw Daryl coming on closer, the small red circles on his knuckles just screamed the amount of torchere he had done to the asshole in the shed.

Getting the first aid kit from my bag I readied it for me to patch it up. I was so distracted in trying to get the alcohol ready for him, I didn't realize how close he had gotten. Assuming that he was just going to sit tight and wait until after I have his hand bandaged up before he tells me the sentence.
"Aurora..."
His breathed. The quick bit of air the traveled through my lungs was stuck there, in the center before I could even think to let it go. His face held disappointment, I get that. Randel told him my first name.

"When were ya gonna tell me I was callin' you the wrong name?"
"I've always gone by Blake."
"He didn't think so, his first thought was to call you Aurora."
He was angry, so placing down the cloth I stood up to face him.

"I've been callin' you Blake this whole time and you couldn't have given me your first damn name? Hell I saved you and you couldn't even..."
His sigh back down into the log just had both knuckles show forward. Sitting down beside him, I realized that he didn't know that I was always called it. But when was I suppose to tell him?
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I hate my name."
"Why?"
"...Because my father gave it to me."
We stayed silent for a moment, and it was just eating me away. His anger was bottled up and one day it will just explode into shards, but him putting out his hands was enough of a signal for me to bandage them.

His small grunts and wines were enough to have me ease the pain back a bit, but wrapping them up was the end of it all. He gave me a small 'thanks' before going into the tent.

"Hey Blake!"
Moments had gone by and I just assumed that he found the tampons and was going to give me shit about the 'plugs' being out in the open. But seeing a red package in his hand, I couldn't help but laugh.

"Subtle way of asking."
"Why do you have this?"
"You're the one holding it."
He motions to the container Maggie had given me, and I knew she would sneak me one eventually. But him finding, is a hundred percent worse.

"Uh...Yea uh Maggie must have snuck it in there."
The fact that he held onto it, slipping it into his pocket before leaving was something I was not expecting in the least bit. His smirk was on the rise, especially now with a key scenes of him thinking I want to do something in that area.

Truth is...I don't know if I want to. Look at Lori, anything could happen. I'm not on the pill, and I have enough shit going on that I don't need to emotionally involve myself with Daryl to that extent.

It was a good thing he didn't hear me, because he would be more than offended if that was the case.

Staying in the tent was the only way I could even think of getting my thoughts in order, especially when I didn't want to talk to him after that. Not know where else to go, I calmly look for my knife.
